NEW: Richard Tice failed to pay almost £100,000 in corporation tax, benefiting his investment company which made large donations to Reform UK.
First time Reform's deputy leader's tax affairs can be directly linked to finances of Nigel Farage's party.

EU’s energy crisis response is broader than expected: remote work mandates, heat pump subsidies, EV leasing schemes — plus electrification targets and new laws to tax electricity below fossil fuels.
Germany just activated its largest ever solar installation — one farm, 1.5 million homes, zero carbon. The #CottbusSolarPark covers 3,500 hectares and produces 2.1 tw-hours annually, replacing two coal plants that operated on this same land until 2022. #SolarPower #ActOnClimate #Renewables
When Angela Rayner underpaid £40,000 in stamp duty, Richard Tice said it was "morally completely indefensible” and she should resign if she had “any moral decency”.
Now we learn he set up four shell companies that let him avoid paying £100,000 he owed in tax and to then transfer the cash to Reform
Note the massive disproportionality between votes and seats. Something like 25 seats per 1% vote share for Labour compared to 1.5 seats for Greens. First past the post will work against Labour this time.
Sorry this chart doesn't make sense. Surely fossil fuel use depends on how the "electricity" is being generated? "Renewables" badly misnamed.
One gets the impression that young Sebastian may have been given the cold shoulder by a lot of young women. Maybe one or two that are voting Green?
It's clear we need to go much further to combat the corrosive impacts of huge political donations on UK politics.
That means banning crypto donations, yes - but also introducing a cap on individual donations, greater transparency on campaign donations and spending, and more.
Why only a cap Ellie? Why not ban political donations altogether? Let the state fund parties with transparent rules based on vote share, as in Germany.
Letter on UK Parliament headed paper dated 16 April 2026, addressed to Energy Secretary Ed Miliband. Green MPs urge him to maintain the ban on new North Sea oil and gas licences and not approve projects like Rosebank, Jackdaw or Cambo. The letter argues new fossil fuel extraction will not lower bills or improve energy security, and says claims about protecting jobs are inaccurate. It highlights that 93% of recoverable oil and gas has already been extracted and that remaining resources would be sold internationally. The MPs warn expanding fossil fuels harms workers, billpayers and future generations, and call instead for investment in renewable energy, warmer homes, future-proof jobs, and making polluters pay. Signed by Carla Denyer, Ellie Chowns, Siân Berry, Hannah Spencer and Adrian Ramsay.
Our MPs have written to Ed Miliband urging him not to backtrack on the ban on new oil and gas.
More drilling won’t lower bills or secure our energy future. It’s time to invest in renewables, future-proof jobs, and make polluters pay.
I’ll never get used to the president being a petty, whiny little bitch
BREAKING: Reform UK's Welsh leader just threw Nigel Farage under the bus!

THE REFORM WARS HAVE BEGUN! (again) 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The BBC asylum fraud report is factually correct. But its framing risks exaggerating the problem.
This is a national politics issue, not a local one.
Why is this of concern so close to May local elections?
Stephen MacNair explains...
How many more people are going to have to resign for Keir Starmer's decision to ignore the advice of every single person who told him not to appoint Peter Mandelson?
More people need to be made aware of this. Labour would rather work with Reform than with progressive parties. They've been doing deals with the Tories in Scotland for years to keep out SNP and Greens
That's why they need to be completely replaced in the minds of progressive voters

Reform-run Kent County Council has sold off a work of public art by one of Britain’s most respected sculptors, Antony Gormley.
Gormley’s ‘Two Stones’ was hosted outside the Kent History and Library Centre in Maidstone until a few days ago. Latest for @bylinetimes.bsky.social
Indeed. The tech bros profiting from violent, degrading, misogynistic online material that triggered these attacks, appear to escape blame.
According to this BBC summary of the inquiry report, Sir Adrian says that the "violent, degrading and misogynistic" material the perpetrator was watching online triggered his attacks, but does not appear to blame the billionaire tech bros who profit from allowing it on their platforms.
Sky hill bills.
Rising rents.
And more energy spikes coming down the track.
We should be investing in renewable energy to lower our bills - and end Rip Off Britain.

Russia’s 2014 seizure of Crimea should have triggered action under the 1994 Budapest Memorandum. Instead, overestimating Russia’s strength and fearing nuclear escalation helped pave the way for the 2022 invasion. Without true commitment, there is no resolve. #Integrity #Ukraine @ec.europa.eu

🔴 GB News Hosts Reform UK and Conservative Politicians and Activists Posing as Ordinary Voters
The individuals were presented as ordinary members of the public, without informing viewers of their political affiliations, a new Byline Times investigation reveals
It's well past time to do away with Council Tax, a deeply regressive and unfair tax whereby the poorest households end up paying a much larger proportion of their income than the wealthiest do.
Policy shifts coming fast. France accelerates Electrification
- a ban on gas boilers in new houses from end of 2026
- increased support for replacing old heating with heat pumps
- 100 regions will pilot comprehensive heat transition plans to phase out gas by 2030
