Encyclopædia Britannica will continue to use ‘Gulf of Mexico’ for a few reasons:

-We serve an international audience, a majority of which is outside the U.S.

-The Gulf of Mexico is an international body of water, and the U.S.’s authority to rename it is ambiguous.

Yes. I probably should have put that in quotes. I wish people could see this for what it really is.

All of the lack of mitigations and outright lies were just to get people back to work. Biden's great economy came at a huge cost to public health and individuals suffer for it.

As long as people refuse to listen and flat out ignore the science, more of this will happen.

As a kid, I was expected to obey without question. I look around today, at the current fascist take over, and wonder how many of the liberal "leaders" were raised the same. I mean, the crickets from the left is unbelievable.

a white sheet of paper hanging from a black clip against a blue wall. the paper is a worksheet with the words, "my dog is a..." with the instructions to circle one of the following words, "hero," "companion," or "worker." instead, the word "circle" has been circled in pencil, and the rest of the sheet reads, "because he is round" in crude handwriting. next to the explanation as to why the dog is a circle, is a drawing of a very rotund dog with a tiny tail and little feet. this is an A+ assignment if we've ever seen one.

This kid slightly misunderstood their homework assignment and we could not possibly love it more. 12/10

Likewise, don’t fall for the propaganda that COVID is harmless or mild—and it most certainly is minimizing propaganda. Even “mild” infections can cause long term organ damage.

Don’t surrender to forced or “inevitable” infection. #WearAnN95 and protect yourself & others.

SARS-CoV-2 antibodies cross-react and enhance dengue infection Dengue disease is highly prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions worldwide. However, its pathogenesis is still incompletely understood, particularly in comparison to other endemic viruses. Antib...

It's always worth remembering that, fundamentally, 'immunity debt' is a political term, a convenient and media-friendly phrase to explain away what is much more likely to be pathogen-pathogen interaction.

A representative example (SARS-CoV-2 & DENV-2):

I continue to wonder why I am called a sheep because I mask, yet maskers are in the minority. Look around. I don't believe I am the sheep. Their argument lacks logic. The only thing I follow is science.
