The warmth yesterday and the rain overnight utterly transformed my yard. The grass became a carpet, the purple-leaf plums broke out in flowers, leaves leaves leaves budding everywhere. God, what a marvel nature is! Really don't understand why so many people are so mad when this beauty is all around.

Once I started thinking abt goodreads as a product review site rather than a book review site, it made it so much easier to disregard. There are some very thoughtful reviews there, but for the most part it's the book equivalent of "i like the product but the package was dented, 1 star". Plus racism.
