Let’s just say something’s in the works

I'm missing convection conduction and radiation bc I left teaching right before making it www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0vR...
Get compared to Kermit a lot
lol sorry
Also like and subscribe to my physics youtube channel I will explain all of physics www.youtube.com/@AndyMasley
Making a good youtube overview of Jordan's incorrect claims would require way way way more effort than what I put into the blog post. I think people see an extremely long blog post, and think "that's a lot of effort compared to other blog posts" but it's not a lot compared to video.
I've been getting two funny responses to the Jordan thing: Why did you put so much effort into the blog post, and why don't you make a youtube video covering it.
Blog posts are way easier to make than comprehensive youtube videos. I know bc I've made almost 200 youtube videos for my physics channel
I’m including ai critics in the community here
I gotta say the core AI community here is quite good and I haven't had any crazy interactions for a while
Ah yes Hegseth declaring total antivax victory at DOW I see
(air pollution, power, and noise are all very real issues btw)
Talking to guy at a conference and he says "I think so much about data centers is overblown. The power, the water, the land. The one thing I'm really worried about is the infrasound"
"You're never going to believe this"
documentary in which the Minions reenact their past atrocities in Indonesia.
Finished my response to Jordan's blog post here blog.andymasley.com/p/contra-ben...
I also try to make it clear that what I post should stand on its own and I'm not trying to otherwise get you to like other aspects of EA. Basically I want to advertise the parts of EA I do like and people can take them or leave them on a case by case basis
Very flattering thx. The "try to be insanely focused on being correct" norm is way more powerful than commonly acknowledged and imo people shouldn't feel social pressure to say kinda sorta fake stuff.
Maybe that was wrong? I'm not sure, but I'd have to attribute pretty crazy stupidity or bad reading skills to Benn to make a case for him not understanding the crazy moves he made with the videos, and he's obviously smart, so I was left thinking I should just get the info out
After going deep enough on the videos I came away really not seeing how it could be possible for Benn to be acting in good faith or not know that he had effectively lied to his audience for half an hour. He just knows enough about sound for that to be the case.
✅ Data center don't waste water
✅ AI art is without victims
✅ Using ChatGPT is not bad for the environment
I love the idea that the only way you could possibly believe these is if you're being paid to
Well Benn Jordan called me a shill and blocked me without defending a single study he completely mischaracterized in his video. I have a full summary of the interaction in a new section of the post here. blog.andymasley.com/i/194372054/...
Wind turbine syndrome, fake infrasound disease Chapman debunks
Very common move is to say: "Data centers, for example, Colossus." It's such a crazy outlier.
When I first saw it I also thought it was pretty believable! I was looking into it more as part of a broader series on noise and then had to hit the brakes when I realized what was going on
Sorry sorry I’m trying to remove it
It is a little funny that I give much higher odds that a data center kills me personally than most of my critics do
My billionaire funders are demanding I stop debunking data center myths.
As a shill who does anything for money I’m here to tell you data centers emanate WiFi which gives people cancer. Google WiFi intolerance
Before this I was just an Average Joe EA city group organizer, man of the people
