Topping up my sunshine and solitude battery today by reading in the spring sunshine .i may even be able to handle a bit of sociability tomorrow

Perfect weather today bright sunshine and a gentle breeze 15 degrees it feels warmer in the sun tomorrow I’ll be complaining it’s too hot !

My son’s girlfriend has been allocated south west Thames and is stating with neonates .its spooky how his life mirrors ours .rather lovely in its own way but bitter sweet that im not still working

My new Knee and hip exercises seem to be making pain worse rather than better .ive never had much luck with physio despite going into each new treatment session assuming it will help I’m always doing too much and having to dial back .At 60 I’ve the mobility of a 90 year old

In retrospect showing off to myself the range of motion of my new shoulder and pushing to do the one thing I was told was unlikely to happen by reaching up my back was not a brilliant idea .i think I’ve now got tendonitis at the muscle insertion point I’ll never learn to stop pushing my limits

Cast in a second show today as a batty old woman again .Art imitates life .glad to see my natural talent and walking stick being put to good use .anyone else have a stage stick and a home stick one wooden the others purple glittery and light up

Waiting for the rat man again I despair will we never live alone in this house .This time a mouse has been spotted in the sitting room and an elephant heard gallivanting in the attic .i convinced myself that the rodent I saw in the garden was a fluffy mouse while I know really it was a young rat

Spring and summer I’m mostly in my garden avoiding doing the stuff I know needs doing inside the house

Off to another audition for an old witch this evening again no acting required .fingers crossed for this one

Just got cast as a batty old lady in Sand castles by Bob Larbey Ampthill and flitwick dramatic society’s summer show .im mainly acting the old women rolls now i never got the juvenile lead when i was younger then I mostly played young men ! Its a pure comedy roll that i will absolutely ham up

Anyone else sunburned ? Despite factor 50 this aging English rose was pretty pink last night .i wear face sunscreen all year as my mother had a melanoma but forgot my neck .sunshine battery topped up after 2 beautiful spring days I love spring so much

First warm day of spring off came the long socks and despite factor 50 I’ve managed to burn my collar bones sitting in my reading spot

We had our first house guest for over a decade today just for afternoon tea but the stress and planning was considerable .

I love pho it’s all gluten free so for me it’s lovely to be able to choose anything on the menue

You know you have aced parenting when your youngest son gets a great job and you can finally stop paying their mobile phone contract .the fact that this corresponds exactly to to your original retirement date is a happy coincidence
