Thank you so much! That’s so interesting about your father, too.
Architects consider it Canada’s most important room. Featuring acclaimed modernist art, furniture and architecture, a theatre and artisanal cocktails. Exhibits tell the stories of transatlantic triumphs, tobogganing communists, and celebrity encounters.

Exalted by the NY Times as “perfectly preserved, the terminal is a time capsule from the heady days when travel was exotic, and airports were beacons of the future.” The international lounge was opened with the blessing of QE2 in 1959....
Fun fact:
The 1st time I was ever outside Ireland, we flew via Canada, specifically the plane was refuelled in Gander!
So, the first time I ever touched down on foreign land was here. Serendipitous that I live in YYT now.

Happy belated Canada Day, which was my 10 year 'Canniversary' (since becoming a Citizen).

Too many teams treat discovery like a quick fix — but customer discovery isn’t a checkbox. It’s a discipline.
Just like fitness, it takes consistency, good form, and a willingness to do the reps... even when it’s uncomfortable.

In times of uncertainty, the teams who roll up their sleeves, test assumptions, and stay close to their customers (or constituents) will be the ones who win.
Elbows up!
It's a season for building and innovation. 🇨🇦
That’s what we've been focused on behind the scenes these past few months. From NL to ON and BC, and with client customers across Europe, the U.S., & beyond.

As the election heated up across Canada, it was a good reminder that real innovation takes more than soundbites. It takes getting into the work: asking better questions, listening deeply to customers and users, and making thoughtful decisions under pressure.
I don’t just repaint; I redesign the blueprint to ensure long-term success, and uncover gaps or opportunities for innovation.
I see myself as a systems thinker who builds and scales sustainable solutions. It’s less about paint and more about creating something that will stand the test of time.
I view the role as far more foundational; focused on uncovering core challenges, aligning product strategy with user needs, and building sustainable frameworks. That’s not just about refreshing—it’s about rethinking core structures to ensure they meets business goals and resonates with users.
A client recently referred to me as someone that cleans up their product and applies a new layer of paint/scaffolding. That doesn’t accurately reflect the expertise and depth of the value I bring. It suggests surface-level work, which diminishes the strategic and transformational impact created.
It came back just in time :)
I had the slides exported as a PDF (back-up), but the working design prototype had to be presented via figma - worked out ok, thank you.
Figma down for me...
I have a client walkthrough (on it) in T-minus 10 mins.
“Among the virtues that matter are those traditionally considered feminine rather than masculine: listening, respect, patience, negotiation, strategic planning, storytelling. But we like our lone and exceptional heroes.”

Connection > ego.
But there’s also opportunities to choose insight, reflection, and wisdom—if we recognize them..
Stupidity reflects back the blind spots, biases, and limitations we would rather ignore.
But that’s an invitation to pause and reconsider—so long as we have humility and the courage to act differently.

…it isn't constrained by intelligence or status.
How many of us say we fall into the intelligent category (from “The Basic Laws of Human Stupidity"- Carlo M. Cipolla defined), and assume the majority also do?
Stupidity is an equal-opportunity disruptor, capable of derailing progress at any scale.

"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." - debated source but sometimes attributed to Einstein.
We often underestimate the abundance of stupidity; it’s immune to education, culture, and experience.
