There’s a recent video clip going round showing workers chiselling Great Pyramid stone… but it’s not as it seems,
They are chiselling modern cement/render aka restoration work, NOT the original pyramid stone.
Nobody is destroying the pyramid… but it is a bit of a PR blunder 🙄

I created a BlueSky Account for my YouTube channel as well. You can follow at @ancientarchitects.bsky.social - thank you!
Just as I remember it 😂
The force is with you… always.
I tried them a couple of months ago and they didn’t have it sadly. Thanks though.
A shady little chamber with round skull bones recognizable on the floor
A room with 22 skulls (all but two lacking jaw bones) was recently found in the Neolithic Sefertepe site of SE Turkey, one of those Taş Tepeler sites.🏺
Interview (in Turkish) with Emre Güldoğan, the director of the dig: arkeofili.com/sefertepede-...
But how did they do it? How could these Neolithic hunters quarry those huge limestone T-pillars we now breathlessly admire at #TasTepeler sites like #GöbekliTepe, #Karahantepe and others? 😲🤔
How? - Well, they made clever use of the local geology. And Matt's video here shows this pretty good. 🏺👍
Thank you for those that have followed me over here on BlueSky. Everyone in my house is currently down with a rotten cold virus so I’ll try and give this more attention when I’m better.
If anyone has or sees a copy of ‘Klaus Schmidt: Göbekli Tepe a Stone Age sanctuary in South-Eastern Anatolia’ for sale in English, please let me know! Thanks.
I believe 👏🏼👏🏼

Wait, is this a 35,000 y/o saber-toothed cat mummy from the Upper #Pleistocene permafrost in NE Yakutia?
Why, yes - this is a 35,000 y/o saber-toothed cat mummy from the Upper Pleistocene permafrost in NE Yakutia! 🙀😲

Fancy seeing you here!
God, he is awful. 99% of the fans want him sacked asap. Seems utterly clueless and out of his depth 😂
I want to see less of this thank you!
Stone Mounds app is available now!
If you’re interested in Karahan Tepe, Sefer Tepe etc, check out the new Taş Tepeler #StoneMounds app in the App Store!
The unfinished T-pillar at #KarahanTepe, part-quarried but still attached to the limestone bedrock, just a stones throw away from the ancient settlement.
I’ve spent the day researching the geology of Şanlıurfa and Göbekli Tepe, and writing a script about how the T-pillars were quarried from the bedrock. I’m enjoying this more than I thought I would.
