It introduced me to Hayley Atwell, though, so I’m grateful for that. 🙂

The Siskel and Ebert episode is a classic.
I loved PROBE!

The Columbine massacre was on this date in 1999. Instead of energizing our country to get gun violence under control, it kicked off a new normal. One of the best explanations ever of journalism's destructive impact on mass shootings came from Roger Ebert in his review of Gus Van Sant’s “Elephant.”
I'm a Scott fan, too, but I'm not too up on what his status quo is these days, outside of having his own X-Team in Alaska.
🤣 I'm so old that I can remember a time when Scott Summers was both a sincerely good person and not hated by a certain segment of the X-Men fanbase.
Actually, I'd probably phrase it as "What If Cyclops Never Joined X-Factor?" instead. That's stronger & more dramatic.
Could be. I can SORT OF put it into context, as I know around when Cyclops had that X-Factor uniform & Madelyne was the Goblin Queen, & the one-eye baby is obviously Nate Summers if you're familiar with Cable, but a "What if Cyclops didn't join X-Factor?" would be even more helpful for new readers.
I enjoy it, partly because it came out when I was a teenager.
I'm listening to Billy Joel's album "The Bridge," which I bet will make @gailsimone.bsky.social very happy.
VERY COOL PERSON: It's four-twenty, you know what that means?
ME: Hell yeah! [starts shoving blackbirds into a pie]
HA! Very apt analogy. At least Marvel is pretty good about reprinting them…
Ha! Not a problem for me! I get Epic Collections! 😄
...Oh no.

...Oh no.
Yes, that’s what I remember.
Just a weird choice to not even give a hint as to what the story might be.
"Three lousy miracles... I understand two of them were card tricks."
Wow, they don't put the questions on the covers of WHAT IF? any more?
...What are you saying, Gareth? WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?!?
I do love the audaciousness of Geoff Johns just straight up saying, "Yeah, all those OTHER Brainiacs you fought over the years were just duplicates. THIS is the real deal!"
And yes, I limited replies and turned off quotes on this thread, because I have an extremely low threshold for arguing with strangers on the internet. If you agree with me, great. If you don't, I don't fucking care and you're fucking wrong.
I was literally just talking about this with a friend of mine from Glasgow yesterday and today. Other countries don't understand why the F we don't ever DO something about our gun problem.
We never fucking learn and nothing ever changes. We're pathetic.
True. His fetishes and peccadillos are baked into the show.
"We have a Prime Directive of Non-Interference, but OF COURSE that doesn't apply to having sex with aliens!"
Yeah, I flipped through that book once, I think. That was enough.
I also put something else together when I read an excerpt from Grace Lee Whitney's book shortly after rereading Herb Solow and Bob Justman's INSIDE STAR TREK: THE REAL STORY.

And THIS is why I'm fed up with streaming. Movies and shows move from one service to another so damn quickly it's impossible to keep track, even with sites like Just Watch.
Don't get me started.
Yes. That's what I was saying.
Repost with your first crush (if you had one).
I'm glad that all of them are still around and still awesome.
