I have been asking my husband for years to cut a hole in the back garden fence for hedgehogs. His carpentry skills far exceed mine but he has not been keen to cut into his handiwork. Last night he watched the latest episode of Secret Gardens and this am is cutting the hole!

I was a very lucky girl because my Dad was a teenager during WW2 met black GI's in London and fell in love with their music. Brought me up to be respectful of people's diversity.
I never knew this. How appalling. I grew up with his voice as he was a favourite artist of my Dad and his songs bring me great comfort in these troubled times.
Ten announcements and achievements by our Labour Government pretty much ignored by UK media who find it impossible to tell us all the good news. Share far and wide.

God, these lovely, peaceful morning hours in Europe before that stupid cunt wakes up.
President Trump has issued an open call to commit war crimes. Targeting civilian infrastructure and threatening to wipe out a civilization violate international law and the U.S. Constitution. President Trump may not believe he is bound by laws, but he doesn’t speak for the U.S. armed forces. Service members are required to refuse unlawful orders. It may seem far away now, but before long, the U.S. public will demand accountability for the wanton killing of children and other civilians and disregard for the laws that protect them. Oxfam will be among the many who demand that anyone who orders these attacks be held accountable. Scott Paul. Oxfam America Director of Peace and Security
The UK prime minister must use all diplomatic tools at his disposal to uphold international law. The extreme impunity on display by President Trump cannot go unchallenged. Leaders must protect civilians & prevent dangerous escalation. Not stay silent in the face of abhorrent violence and impunity.
Men like him is why it happened in the first place. So I assume they want to remove the burden of fire regulations from developers.
Scum.
Incredible
Violas on a brown paper background in colours that shift gently to create a floral ombré
In case you’re also a fan of pansies and violas here are a few more. Dopamine from pansies= pansamine ✔️🌿

Forever grateful for the freedom this gave my family.
I am trying to check my data usage. The free phone number given on my March bill notification is apparently withdrawn. My Vodafone account has not allowed me to check my bills or data for months. Getting fedup and going to Ofgem.

Ritualistic pose? He has just rolled his sleeve up and got ready for a bit of a brawl.
Oh my goodness you have reminded me that I have never watched season 5 which came out during a time when watching a bit of fun tv was not an option.
Gorgeous art.
😢
I keep thinking about what his last few hours must have been like. There is no pit of hell deep enough for the people who did this.
Enjoying this generator.
I have never seen these articles referenced anywhere and Home Notes does not seem to have been made available in a digital format so have wondered if there was an archive anywhere.
You have the National Cycle Archive? How delightful. I have a number of bound volumes of the magazine Home Notes from 1890 to 1898 and it contains within its articles a potted history of women's cycling. From articles condemning the clothes! the behaviour! to fully embracing the unstoppable trend.
Yes I saw the glass reference. It is extremely hard to get blue glass with that deep colour but it would have been really really special.
