Reminds me of the time my brain kept me up at night because I was thinking of infinite-dimensional vector spaces. 🤓

Slightly off-topic, but can I assume this involves Chebyshev’s inequality for probabilities? I never quit understood how it works with Variance Shadow Mapping, but iirc. they also make use of his inequality for pre-filtered shadow maps.
The fact that it has been battle tested in one of the greatest games of all time (IMHO) makes it an amazing choice. I used to work mostly with NewtonGameDynamics, but whenever I come back to physics engines, JoltPhysics is my top contender. Thanks for sharing such a great project <3
This joke doesn’t seem to be NUL-terminated, but at least it was preprocessed.
I’m happy to share that Thief The Dark Project is one of the games that inspired me to make games :)
Reminds me of this :D
With such a perfect Pokedex, I’d be scared to loose it to a dying battery. I can recommend the GB Operator from #Epilogue to save it to your PC. This sounds totally like a paid promotion, but I promise it’s a genuine recommendation from someone who appreciates retro gaming :)
What am I using the übriggebliebene money from mein #Uber voucher for?
Nandway to rule them all!
Perhaps not only black holes but even infinity itself is spinning.
Loco Roco 1 & 2 and
LEGO StarWars II The Original Trilogy were my all time favorites on the PSP ❤️ They felt like such a huge leap over the games I played on the GameBoy Advance SP at the time.
These were my first two home consoles. It doesn’t feel that long ago 🤔 I still can’t forget that the PS3 regularly asked me to update the OS in the middle of a game, especially those X-button smashing games that made that a very unpleasant experience.
I regret that I was introduced to this character through the RE2 movie and not the original video game. I can’t think of a worse spoiler of a great video game villain.
Your content brings me joy and comfort. Please keep it coming.
Saw this video, noticed it’s RetroBlast, hit subscribe, realized I already subscribed and that made it unsubscribed, now subscribed again. All good now
If our math professor used memes like this I would have remembered those terms a lot faster 🙂
Just came across this insightful video about Bézier curves from @freya.bsky.social Beautifully animated <3

I love the VMU concept. Not my favorite shape but surely innovative especially with its Hall effect joystick. Looking at you Switch 👀
You’re not alone with that feeling. Perhaps that’s why I’m playing a lot of retro games lately, both those I played as a kid and those I’m trying to catch up to from that period.
Dangerous for people with red-green weakness. At least the fourth color sticks out but the rest is a bit tough for me.
My partner and I just beat the game. You guys have an amazingly talented team of artists and tech wizards. Super creative levels that were such a joy to play in co-op all the way from start to finish!
Wild guess, but I assume the main culprit of poor battery life was the backlit alone. This handheld seems to use a high voltage light element and even has hazard warnings on the inside! I haven’t found the time to repair mine yet.
Took me long enough, too. And I learned about the inverted map from a coworker.
I agree it was great for education. Almost no boilerplate code, especially compared to Vulkan.
Are we talking pre-glClipControl()-era OpenGL or even fixed function like in the good ol’ days? :->
Sorry to see you leave and wish I had a chance to collaborate with you. Also all the best for your future endeavors!
@microsoft.com ‘s forced Win11 online account at random boot sessions is the best invention since Internet Explorer </sarcasm>
With @briankaris.bsky.social winning this year’s SIGGRAPH Practitioner award, it’s a great time to repost his HPG 2022 keynote, which is one of the best talks I’ve ever seen. The tech is cool, yes, but what makes the talk is Brian’s approach to R&D and invention.

Awesome writeup! This would make a great blogpost or article.
And to this day, Barney owes Gordon a beer.
