Happy book birthday to the fantabulous @jendiagammon.bsky.social!
Thanks!
Yep
100%
Oh wow, i didn’t even clue in that it was 4:20. 😄 Not that I had plans to get high or anything, I just usually notice.
Oh no! 😢
Thanks.
Thank you.
Congrats, Ai!
That’s wonderful! So glad you’re enjoying it and what beautiful pictures.
Is this a paying market?
Thanks, Martha. 🩷
Congrats to all the Aurora finalists! Especially stoked to see @ourmankoto.bsky.social on there again with Year’s Best Canadian F&SF 3. So nice to see Canadian specfic get so much love.
I’m so sorry, and what terrible timing. I had a similar experience after my first Nebula nomination. People need to realize they can have thoughts but they don’t need to post them publicly for the person they’re having thoughts about to see.
Ugh, Beth, this is awful. I’m so sorry.
A contact form reads: Subject: Checking Authenticity Body of message Hi there Beth. I have been contacted by someone who is using the email, [email blacked out], and using you name and one of your novels 'Feast of the Starving Stone: The Chef’s Five' to engage with me as a fellow author - if it is you then great, if it is not, as i suspect, then this is a fake approach. I just wanted to be sure. thanks. [signed name blacked out] You're a real person, right? No, I'm a bot. Please don't include existential questions in a contact form. Yes.
I just found out that an AI scammer is impersonating me in their spam campaign. I am LIVID.
Please, please share this post. Warn people. I’m horrified that someone might be ripped off in my name.
No one is safe from being impersonated like this.
Smart. Yeah, I’ve been keeping to trusted sources and older recipes too. Shame it’s come to this.
So true.
I like this analogy.
WOOOT!!! 🥳
Only 2 weeks left to sign up for #FictionFest! Canadian authors, this is a fantastic way to get your books into an all- #Canadian showcase with authors from all across the country. It's all of us supporting each other and shining a light on #CanLit and the incredible talent we have here!
I’m also the person who manages practically everything for my aging parents. I finally got them into a retirement home but anything outside of their care there is on me, and at the expense of my time and money. Like you said, I did not get to choose this.
I feel this. I left my career 20 years ago when I was just getting started because I had twins and daycare would’ve cost more than my pay. I’ve worked since but not in any capacity that will give me a good pension. I tell my husband he’s not allowed to die before me because I can’t afford to live.
Can’t even imagine. I’m struggling enough with the AI recipes on Pinterest that are impossible to make.
Thank you Sean! Here’s the link for anyone who may have missed it. I obviously have strong feelings about this as a film lover/AI-hater.

Will do.
@ianli.bsky.social she added that it was her favourite of the ones she’s seen. You have a fan.
@ianli.bsky.social my daughter just found it! She said “tell your friend I like his poem.” 🙂
Another one. No thanks, Sandy.
Nice!
