AI Isn’t Coming for Your Job. It Already Arrived. The stock market is up. GDP is up. And you can’t find a job. Here’s how all three are true at once.

AI displacement of white-collar workers began May 2023. 757,000 jobs lost. Healthcare hiring hides it in the headline numbers. The recession isn't coming. It arrived.

Why Engineers Can Say “This Is Wrong” and Designers Can’t One ships. The other schedules more meetings

Design once had what engineering still has: a tradition of history, theory, and critique that let practitioners appeal to shared principles outside any individual's authority.

In Battlestar Galactica, the phrase "All of this has happened before. All of this will happen again." suggests a cyclical pattern of human history, particularly relating to the conflict between humans and the Cylons.

Although the sample size is small (117), the strong preference of 84% for 'blue-90, a very dark tone,' provides a margin of error of ±6.7% at a 95% confidence level. For most practical purposes, this is sufficient for decision-making.

You'd think the button with white text on #578BDD background passes WCAG Color Contrast, but you'd be wrong. Only the black text passes AA and AAA for Normal text.

This is why APCA can't come soon enough.

If a fresh start is appealing, I'm setting up my site with Astro, and I find it easy. It integrates well with GitHub/Netlify for CI/CD.
