Just started reading Atomic Habits. I don't want to get my hopes up, but I suspect this book is going to be life changing for me.

I'm very disappointed in the "snow" this week. I wanted enough to prevent me from having to commute into the office tomorrow, but not enough to shut down the city. Instead, we got none.

It depends. If you're making my famous Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, rolled oats are the way to go. But if you're making oatmeal, steel cut can't be beat. I recommend cooking it with almond and/or coconut milk. Soooo good.

How do I get anyone who isn't already following me to interact with my posts? Do I need to be a squeaky wheel and post ALL THE TIME?

I feel like everyone needs a day off today to disappear into forests, visit beaches, dissasociate in a movie theater. Anything to escape reality. There should be an executive order that gives us time to process and grieve this bullshit. (Can I swear on here? I guess I'll find out.)

I went to one of the pretentious coffee shops in my neighborhood, one that I rarely visit. They had a Spearmint Mocha on special, as opposed to a Peppermint Mocha. You know, because they're fancy. It's... odd. But I think I like it.

Sad night: I was given the wrong burrito in my to go order. A chorizo burrito doesn't even come close to the beauty, the grandeur, the ABSOLUTE PERFECTION of a chile relleno burrito.

I used to be one of those stereotypical women who shop at Target for emotional support. And then they started locking things up. Pretty much everything. So, I stopped going. Trader Joe's is my emotional support store now.

If you were planning an inexpensive trip to somewhere you've never been before, where would you go?

That's my goal this year. Travel somewhere I've never been without the intention of visiting family or friends. A true vacation.
