These people (and many more) have nothing to do with the real thing. Saying you are something does not make it so.
Indeed. Each experience we get by doing does not always reveal its usefulness immediately. It can be years/decades later that some nugget of learning/understanding from seemingly innocuous experiences becomes important to our growth, judgment, or ability to solve a completely different problem.
They are the most disgusting and annoying ads on TV and the sports programs are the worst. For anyone with a proclivity to gamble it's a constant barrage of temptation and should be made illegal.

Maybe podcast lad needs to focus on the team and the game during the season….after all that is what they pay him for…and maybe parents need to have less to say about their kids work life. You know, like the rest of us do about ours
In mine I had to solve a statistics problem for a client by creating a 3-D model in Fortran on punched cards...and I survived. Being 21 at the time helped - where else would the energy come from? It was probably the time period when I started to figure out that coding was not I wanted to do!

Just completed our annual tax return saga…and we had already paid a lot and we still owed on top of that. And that was good…because our taxes fund society.
