Defunding TSA is all about giving more money and power to private companies to profit off these services. Republicans have been doing this with public schools by defunding them and funneling taxpayer money into unaccountable private and charter schools. Trump stands with corporate interests.

Now customers are bringing lawsuits to corporations like Lululemon and Costco arguing if the companies get a refund, so should the consumers. We aren't sure how this will play out but one thing is for sure, Trump's reckless trade wars have been a disaster.

Trump's illegal tariffs have been struck down by the courts. However, this leaves us with a question. Will wealthy corporations or people buying their products be eligible for a refund? Most of the time, all of us who buy products from businesses tend to shoulder the burden.

The Trump administration is fueling the climate crisis by decimating the EPA and rolling back critical environmental safeguards.

We need leaders to take the climate crisis seriously, restore EPA funding and rules, and fully fund the public services that keep us safe.

Why Funding for Farmers and Food Matters Right Now People across all backgrounds and communities are coming together to demand a more fair, equitable, and sustainable farm bill.

Independent farmers across the country are facing tighter margins than ever, pushing them to the brink of bankruptcy.

It doesn’t have to be this way. We need Congress to pass a farm bill that prioritizes economic security and sustainability, NOT corporate giveaways.

AG Dana Nessel is telling it like it is. The Michigan Public Service Commissioners are acting like they're bought and paid for by the utilities. We need more elected officials to stand up to Consumers Energy and DTE and pass a ratepayer bill of rights.

Consumers Energy plans on selling their dams at little cost while raking in $270 million by passing on expenses to ratepayers. When we are already struggling with bills, Consumers Energy keeps finding ways to maximize profits.

Will Republicans Stand Up to Trump’s Threat of Genocide in Iran? - Progress Michigan Donald Trump said that “a whole civilization will die tonight” if Iran doesn’t reopen the Strait of Hormuz, as the White House and Pentagon carry out a deeply unpopular war that is killing civilians and causing consumer goods and energy costs to skyrocket.

Talk is cheap, but this war is getting more expensive by the day. ($1 billion/day to be exact.)

Yet some are still standing by the president and his unpopular and illegal actions around this war.

Opinion | Michigan state, congressional leaders: Act now to protect mail-in voting - Bridge Michigan The US Constitution gives the states the power to hold elections. States make the rules. Silence from Michigan’s elected officials right now reads as acceptance.

You can’t protect democracy by deciding who gets to be a part of it. Yet Trump has done exactly that with a new executive order, and we won't stand for this authoritarian power-grab.

Trump is attacking mail-in voting when he did so as early as last week. His new executive order is just the latest desperate attempt to control who can participate in our democracy - and it's disgraceful.
