I work in a lot of schools which are designated disadvantaged. Food poverty is a real issue and I also think that children eating together, with no stigma, for those who don’t have the same means to provide food, is a really important part of the social side of education. It is a leveller for all.

I never see reporting about the atrocities that Afghan women and girls in particular, but also Afghan men and boys, have to live with daily. It’s a country operating gender apartheid, with no consequences.

The Stranger Times by CK McDonnell is the first book in a funny fantasy series. I enjoyed the snarky dialogue.
