and, idk, it feels kinda hopeful (even if every route has a similar conclusion of it not being the life you'll keep living) to look back at it sometimes, like
hey, maybe things will improve even if it all seems dull and like it's about to fall apart at the seams
it's not gonna be just pain forever
looking back at it, it's probably one of my favorite routes because while yes, you can end it by killing her, (and getting further confirmation that this relationship wasn't working at all, that it felt cold and dull) you can also choose to step out alongside her & find a different sparkle together
and the conclusion that is reached there is that if things are forever the same, they can't be happy, but change would mean leaving (and potentially heading separate ways) and that carries a certain uncertainty to it
but really, things are so messed up this way that even the narrator feels bad
