I think most people either heard them first through social media or possibly at gigs. BlueSky has an active music community sharing a lot of new music and lots of them vote here.

I first heard them thru online posts from record shops and music sites.

Their performance here was def a surprise tho.

Wait, are you “real music” ing us?!?

It’s a fair comment. Aside from the occasional Welsh language track I’m not sure if there’s been any others. The format probably doesn’t help. Plenty non-English tracks get votes but need 4 or 5 to get in. For something like PPP a single vote gets it heard and then the consensus builds from there.
