Hopefully I will make it. :)
A promotional image for Jerzy Drozd's appearance at Awesome Con, March 13-15, 2026. He's offering free drawings of custom cursed objects. An example appearance in a picture frame. It's a spooky looking dog plush, and the text next to it begins with "The Placid Pooch."
Visit my table at Awesome Con and be prepared to share a spooky/silly story, along with a cherished object, and I will use cartoonist alchemy to synthesize them into your own custom cursed object.
For FREE. Because I can't in good conscience charge you for a 💀cursed item💀.

Screenshot: John A Konrad V ~ @johnkonrad My daughter hand-writes her college application essays, then types them up. ••• She plugs them into an "Al detector" like they tell kids to... and every one comes back 80%+ 'likely Al: She's been writing these all week. She's frustrated. She's furious. I don't blame her. portiacheng ~ @portiachen25347 "Al Detectors" are Pseudoscience. They measure "Perplexity" (how surprised the model is by the text). Good writing has Low Perplexity (it flows well). The detector's logic: "This is too coherent to be human." It's an insult to human intelligence disguised as a security tool.
Ai text detectors worry me. Firstly, as here (apologies for the X post), they produce false positives. Secondly, I dislike the idea of putting my (or anyone else’s) writing into such a detector, because I’m not entirely convinced it won’t be used to further train something somewhere.
T'is no paid advertisement, just thought it was cool. :)
Hope everyone's doing well. It's been awhile since I posted but this is too cool for school and might fit some of your adventures so I thought I'd share.
One of the modules I made for DnD famously has mimic rowboats sailing down the river - and there's a mini! www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-pr...

Okay, how did a hundred people find me here in the last 24 hours? I appreciate it enormously, I've loved some of these people's work for years, but I'd like to find more followers and people I'd love to follow. Thanks!

NEW COVER REVEAL 👀
"Disabled people don't belong in a fantasy setting" is unfortunately common discourse in the community so we wanted to challenge that perception with the help of Arthur Cabezas!

I had them be basically a white noise machine for a hag and they disrupted short and long rests because all she brought over from the Faerie were the males looking for mates. :D
I wish I thought of this as one of the big bads a few years back but I am loving further love kakapos are getting for the fantasy potential!
A reference sheet for a kākāpō-bear, a hybrid creature based off of the real life kākāpō and a black bear. It is covered mostly in green feathers, with a beige-toned face and underbelly and dark brown markings all over its body. It has large yellow eyes, long black claws, dark brown pawpads, and ear-like tufts on its head. The rest of the reference sheet depicts its herbivorous diet, with a sketch of it climbing a rimu tree and a drawing of a rimu tree fruit.
Meet the kākāpō-bear, a strange creature that resembles an owlbear but has the plumage and behavior of a kākāpō! 🦜

Us but if we have faith, we can ensure and build the brightest future of them all. Not the faith in that there will always be something new over the horizon, but the faith that whatever is over the horizon brings us closer to paradise lost.
And that was most evident when Enterprise started, and it has followed the Trek shows ever since. It's no wonder that Agent Daniels is beginning to (hopefully the) end for this age of Star Trek because he is the embodiment of that happily after. That there are so many forces out there gunning for...
Their goal was to trek, to seek, to boldly go, and that is how they become heroes (or villains), not by living until they die peacefully in their beds so we can see that in the end they were happy after all. They were happy explorers, that is enough!
But the nostalgia doesn't like it that way.
Do question the role of the Federation and humanity in the broader universe, but not the role faith plays in each of the characters individually (or at least not for long). They don't get the happily ever after because their goal wasn't a fairy tale we tell ourselves to keep going in our lives.
Whatever happened on Voyager and DS-9 didn't change the basic maxim: to explore strange, new worlds. To seek out new life and new civilization. To boldly go where no one has gone before. And the shows in this century that follow this maxim (Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks come to mind) can and...
