In which I read a cozy queer sci-fi by Gail Carriger (as G.L. Carriger). An alien exile, a mysterious death among xenophobes with no word for murder, and a lot of flirting are the building blocks of this queer cozy mystery. Tristol is a lavender alien with noodley hair, a very…

Chloe had often planned theoretically perfect days. As long as every task took its expected time, down to the minute, she could manage everything. In practice, this never actually worked for the primary reason that Chloe was not perfect, and for the secondary reason that she wished she were.

We have been here before, we will be here again. We have lessons we can learn from last time and warnings we can establish for next.
Technology changes rapidy. Human behavior and needs evolve very slowly.
New design. Is fun. You buy? Good talk.
This is the first I'm hearing about it and my verdict is already NO. I really need sequels to stop ruining perfectly good endings, wtf.
She’s a mess but let’s not forget her husband is hot garbage too.
Good riddance to both of them.

Hi, do not allow so called "publishing professionals" convince you to spend more than you can afford.
If you are indie author you can absolutely go back and upgrade your backlist later.
Indie authors do it all the time. Publish the best way you can right now and scale up later.
Jinhao is awesome for trying out new styles of pens without spending a lot of money, imho. I know some folks diss in the knockoffs, but I figure they're good "proof of concept" purchases to determine if that flashier item would be worth the price of admission.
All part of the GOP economic program: redistribute income up.

A clip from The New York Times reads: "But only the entities that officially paid the tariffs are eligible to recover that money. That means that the fuller universe of people affected by Mr. Trump’s policies — including millions of Americans who paid higher prices for the products they bought — are not able to apply for direct relief. The extent to which consumers realize any gain hinges on whether businesses share the proceeds, something that few have publicly committed to do. Some have started to band together in class-action lawsuits in the hopes of receiving a payout."
The average American family paid $1,700 in tariffs last year, according to the bipartisan Congressional Joint Economic Committee. Few will ever see any of that money back. The refunds will go to companies, if doled out at all. What a joke.
If you are an indie author, and you can decide to charge whatever price you want, and you decide to charge me $70.....I'm not buying your book.
Is that fair since Big 5 are assholes that charge stupid prices? And your books are just as good so if they're getting it, you should get it?
Nope.
