Today is the anniversary of the Oklahoma City Bombing. I shared these thoughts with For Such a Time as This a few days ago. In oklahoma, we say “Never Forget” about this day… and yet Oklahoma has forgotten.

Everything is in this delusional picture: War. America. Whiteness. And Trump’s claims of holiness in the center of it all.
This is Christian nationalism.
The MAGA universe turning on Trump has me wondering what they know that we don’t (yet) know. 🤔 TBD
Jeff Bezos has $222 billion.
If he paid my wealth tax this year, we could fund insulin in America for everyone who needs it plus free school lunch for every kid in Texas—and have plenty of money left over.
And Bezos would still have $215 billion dollars to spare.
“Christian nationalists very much want to shape the government through a lens of their version and interpretation of Christianity, which is really just using the language of the faith in order to gain power and control,” @shannonmfleck.bsky.social for Impactivize.

Today, on the International Transgender Day of Visibility, we celebrate with faithful pride.
To our trans neighbors, friends, family members, and communities: We see you.
You are valued, you are beautiful, and you are loved -- unconditionally. 🏳️⚧️
BREAKING: Separation of church and state no where to be seen in our nation’s capital.
Im asked what to do to push back on white Christian Nationalism with overwhelming regularity. Step one is to get plugged in to the communities that have the most concrete answers. #christiannationalism

You’re absolutely correct!
7/ Senator Mullin has ties to extreme Christian Nationalism. The Department of Homeland Security, moving into the next gear.
6/ If your faith can’t win a fair vote, you start exorcising the system. And that? Is the real threat.
5/ That’s why you’ll see roll purges, polling places closed in the “wrong” zip codes, and loyalty-branded poll watchers. They call it saving “freedom”. It’s church discipline, but on democracy.
4/ Watch how the word “secure” gets twisted: it’s less about integrity, more about purifying the electorate. Only the “right kind” of voter, the “real” American.
3/ So, a threat to elections, in their language, isn’t hackers or ballots. It’s communities they can’t guarantee will fall in line. Demographics, turnout, coalitions that don’t pledge allegiance to their brand of faith.
2/ When power is the goal, any vote that challenges the hierarchy gets labeled a threat to stability, order, even holiness. Not just a risk. A heresy.
1/ The phrase Christian Nationalist and “election threat” in the same sentence? It isn’t about fraud. It’s about losing control of the system.

“When you put a dominionist at the helm of the Department of Homeland Security, you’re not hiring a watchdog; you’re arming the fox and opening the henhouse door.”

I just wrote a @theactionnetwork.bsky.social letter: Tell the Senate: Don't weaponize our faith to suppress votes. Write one here: actionnetwork.org/letters/tell...
Pretty much an iron law that the more unjustified a military campaign is on rational grounds, the more the aggressors will cite God's sanction. Leaders don't need to tell soldiers they're in a holy war when the nation is under attack; they do it when motivation to fight might otherwise be lacking.
"Years ago, we tore up a nuclear peace deal w/Iran.
Months ago, we bombed Iran
& "obliterated" their nuke capabilities.
And now, we might just have to go to war with Iran
bc of their nuke capabilities."

A+ State of the Union counterprogramming by TCM.
Kinda weird that the party that controls the House, the Senate, and the White House claims there's rampant voter fraud.
Faithful America Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Shannon Fleck, (@shannonmfleck.bsky.social) joined 400 Christian leaders calling out the cruel and oppressive Trump administration, and urging all Christians to engage in greater acts of courage to resist injustice.

The Department of War has been hosting monthly Christian worship services in the Pentagon, and this month’s was led by Christian nationalist pastor, Doug Wilson. This man supports repealing women's right to vote, amongst other extreme views. His voice preaching to our leaders is highly alarming.
This is the interview Donald Trump didn’t want you to see.
His FCC refused to air my interview with Stephen Colbert.
Trump is worried we’re about to flip Texas.
