In the U.S. we learn those conservation terms and slogans from childhood. Never mind weβre the highest consuming country in the world by a long shot, we know what we OUGHT to be doing! ππ£
I didnβt really get the purple, Freyja. It was just leftovers. I almost always have trouble where you have to think of a word that goes in front of 4 others. Iβm okay if thereβs a mystery word following 4 others but I just donβt get the preceding ones.
Very kind of Baby Dog to store up woodland scents in his fur to bring home to the Triplets.πΆ
I always enjoy when you take us on your walks, Baby Dog. You showed us impressive leaping & balancing skills. The birdsong is always pleasant & Woody was SO loud! Today is Earth Day in the U.S. I donβt know if it is in the U.K., but this walk was a good celebration.πΆπ¦ββ¬π³βοΈπΌβ»οΈ
I am just relieved that it was easier than yesterday. I thought Iβd completely lost my ability to do Strands.π
But you still got a clean sweep! Iβm impressed you got the purple. I thought it was a bit obscure. Well done! βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ
WELL, THAT WAS CERTAINLY BETTER THAN YESTERDAY! π

Oh yes you are! Just look at yesterday. Hardest one Iβve ever worked and you got it with no fuss.
All hail the Queen of Strands!

You made it, Freyja! Phew!ππ
I found the purple & blue a bit hard too. I thought I knew blue, but could only find 3 & decided I was wrong. It finally dawned on me after a lot of pondering! π

Had to think about blue & purple quite a bit. Funny I had the right idea about 3 of blue as I first read through the line-up but I couldnβt find a fourth & decided I was wrong. Finally, finally, finally it dawned on me in the 11th hour.
Mum does keep a fabulous garden! πΈπͺ»π·πΌ
Just exactly when Ralphy does anything. Youβre rightβlaw unto himself. πΆπββ¬
π€And I admire your optimism and faith in Baby Dogβs confidence, Sharon! π
I love all of your faces, Malcy. Patient, disgruntled, sleepy, comforting. Your Serious Face is very convincing. Surely Baby Dog and the Triplets will stay away from Mr. Spider!

Iβm a little frightened myself, Ali, and there's an ocean & half a continent between Malcy & me. Iβm not even thinking of taking Mr. Spider. Iβm sure neither Baby Dog nor any Triplets will think it either. π€βοΈπ€ βοΈπ€
Very good. You got the second letter quickly. So many letters could go in that spot. ππ»ππ»ππ»

I feel your pain, Freyja. But you got it! ππΌππΌ
When I got to the point I was only missing the second letter, I counted up the possibilities & there were too many. π« Then I got it in my next guess. Lucky!

I despaired when I got to line three & counted up how many possibilities for the second letter. Too many! Then got it on the next line. Pure luck.
Who knew a bird like that existed?
I decided last night to leave it til today because I was getting nowhere. Look at how well that worked.

Iβm choosing to think, βAfter needing 3 hints to get started Iβm proud to have gotten the Spangram and 2 answers all by myself.β
Thatβs great. You raised them well! β€οΈ
Iβd never heard that story!
Oh yeah, Iβve known parents like that. βBut if I donβt beat him he wets his pants!β π βI make him write all the alphabet 100 times before he can go outside.β
That is wonderful.
Some parents of special needs kids are so cautious or fearful of how bad things will always be or generally nervous that they forget to enjoy their kid. Your grandson has a home full of love and activity. That is so important.
βThey did a great job of being absolutely average.β
Sounds like theyβre giving him a good life especially if heβs happy. Parents know best & have ideas of how they want the kid to turn out & what they do or donβt want him to do. In the U.S. the law is that parents must be included in every decision. (Some teachers not so good at following the law.)
Oh god yes. Toilet training is huge! The parents and the kid are so glad and proud. And the parents are so relieved.
That sounds wonderful. Probably everyone would be up for trying anything that would help. Mum being a teacher means she probably knows the ins & outs of accessing Special Ed and what their rights are.
9 is older but some kids, especially those with autism, can spring forth with language suddenly. Theyβve known it all along but just didnβt choose to use it.
