I really think college football has a lot to learn looking at European football (soccer). Both sports have massive financial gaps and a ton of teams, yet people care deeply about their teams at all levels.

Promotion and relegation is just one piece of that puzzle, I think

That's brilliant! Imagine a prime-time Pop Tarts Bowl kicking off the season instead of the Chik-fil-a Kickoff Game or whatever they're calling it nowadays

Interesting! So it would be like how international posting works for baseball players. I could see something like that happening, especially as smaller schools are looking for ways to fill the budget and retain talent.

Not sure if the power schools agree, but it's a solid idea!
