What was with the Marlins yesterday? Walking Soto to get to Alonso? That's a strategy thought of in the offseason and devoid of any adjustments to current reality. #LGM

Soto: .308, .925 OPS; Alonso: .333, 1.139 OPS. Pete is back, baby! (Now let's see Soto really get hot.) #LGM #LFGM

Read this declaration. A professional soccer player has been imprisoned in El Salvador and forced into hard labor on the basis of soccer-related tattoos and a single, innocent hand gesture.

This is why the administration is withholding due process. It knows its targets could prove their innocence.

Once again, I am urging people to understand the difference between calling yourself a "news organization" and being a news organization. Delegitimize propaganda!

You can add an SNY subscription to your MLB now. Costs a little more, but is less than the $114/month I paid last year for DirecTv stream.

I hope some truly patriotic agents at the intelligence agencies are taking cues from Mark Felt these days. Only I'd choose a different media outlet, like AP, Reuters, or the BBC.

That's Gary CohEn, and he's a TV commentator who still calls Mets games on SNY. The radio commentator is Howie Rose, and he is also brilliant.

Lots of people may not know that most federal grant dollars- even for research, fund salaries of people like project managers, community support specialists, finance teams, etc. Millions & millions of people across the country will be furloughed or fired. I have heard of one NGO that already closed.

Several years ago l invited a Buddhist monk to speak to my Senior elective class, and quite interestingly, as he entered the room, he didn't say a word (that caught everyone's attention). He just walked to the board and wrote this: "EVERYONE WANTS TO SAVE THE WORLD, BUT NO ONE WANTS TO HELP MOM DO THE DISHES." We all laughed. But then he went on to say this to my students:
"Statistically, it's highly unlikely that any of you will ever have the opportunity to run into a burning orphanage and rescue an infant. But, in the smallest gesture of kindness -- a warm smile, holding the door for the person behind you, shoveling the driveway of the elderly person next door -- you have committed an act of immeasurable profundity, because to each of us, our life is our universe."

Been thinking about this a lot (not tagging the sender, for their privacy). Most of us won't have the chance for for grand, capital-R Resistance heroics. But every one of us will have a thousand small choices to make about how to live our lives and where to draw lines. Use them well.

🤷‍♂️ The nice guy in me wants to say it's autocorrect but Meta is a word and the s and a are right next to each other, so it's probably failure to proofread. I have fat thumbs, so I get it.

Lol, need more coffee. Was very confused by people in my feed talking about the "Mets boycott," and then I realized it was misspelling or autocorrecting of "Meta boycott." Carry on. #LGM

No worries! I don't need the follows I'm just following Mets fans to see the conversation and share in the highs and lows. I think Sasaki was a long shot and I have concerns about starter depth and watching the team cobble together pitching like last year, but I'm going to have to trust mgt on this.

Former Syrian President Bashar Al Assad ruled ruthlessly for over two decades. With the help of Russian and Iranian forces, he also carried out some of the most vicious acts of the country’s 13-year civil war. We have documented many of these, from chemical attacks to the bombing of hospitals 🧵
