So much whoosh.

You accept a parcel. Neither you nor the courier realise it's at the wrong address. Now there is a picture of your feet and a box on the local Facebook group with the question "does anybody recognise this doorstep?"

If you're willing to spend a fortune on sensors you can capture a lot of data like steering angles and more. But mostly we're talking GPS data and RPM. But that's enough to do a lot.

Bit of vibe coding in Python to help visualise data from my son's karting data logger but also to help us make setup decisions after a first practice. Quite chuffed with the results, really.

I don't think vibe coding let's non experts build complex software products. But tools like this? Sure.

Thoughts on EmDash - Techbros latest attempt to stop me making mortgage payments - Rhys Wynne So on April Fools day (and also the day before a long weekend in the UK – thanks for giving me things to think about lads), EmDash was announced as the latest spiritual successor to WordPress and…yeah...

Bit of a rant on my personal blog today:-

The two countries whose leaders support Putin were communist when Russia was communist. Learn some history.

And the rest hate Putin more than the US president, so there's that.

Well, we're not allowed to use high power metal projectiles shot from tubes for almost any reason.

There is such a thing as common assault, but the prosecution service will always ask if it's in the public internet to prosecute. Chances of being prosecuted for throwing delicious treats are v.low.

Are US Easter bunnies huge and made of solid chocolate and lead? Because trust me you're not going to do much damage with the ones you get here.

Fellow TD O-level holder. Was always good at working out loci. Less good at curves.

*fascistic! But then again, there's something that I like about calling them fascistits.

Half a million followers we had on Twitter with @designweek.co.uk and Musk killed that in favour of ragebaiting fascistit nonsense. I've enjoyed purging all signs of X from our website and steadily if slowly building up things in other places.

I'll give you the answer. 0.05%-0.1% since 2010.

One of the primary reasons for this huge amount of additional land use is an ageing population which maintains independence and stays in their homes for far longer than before. Do you think we should enact policies to encourage downsizing?

Oh, he's not thick. He's cynical.

What percentage of farming land has been gobbled up for housing?

Oh. And I don't think the trackers are about speeding. I bet it's about the surprising number of Motability cars being used as minicabs.

I agree. The government is kind of damned either way. Unfairness seen by people in a working class community will very much cause disillusionment and if Labour doesn't act moderately tough it opens up the door to politicians who could well be horribly tough. See USA right now.

When people struggle but see others who proudly and openly play the system and use the good nature of others to gain benefits they don't deserve it infuriates them.

It's fair to say if you live in the shittier areas you soon know people who are perfectly fine with abusing the Motability scheme. This is what's fed all this. I myself was witness to an accident and the aggressive young man driving a VW Scirocco stated it was his Nan's Motability car he used.

The Office of Moral Superiority A parody newspaper educating the british public in the correct opinion

Looks like a new government department has been set up and it's taking aim at literally everyone who isn't superior in thought and deed.

If we treat AI as a tool rather than a creator it's fine and very useful indeed.

Because free speech isn't something they believe in. It's a tool for them to enrich themselves.

The hilarious thing is that they're too arrogant and cocky to realise that if they got the revolution they hope for they'd quickly find themselves on a tumbril heading to their early demise.

Saw it on our relatively quiet @designweek.co.uk jobs board. It had been picking up quite a bit finally and then boom...tumbleweed.

I could write an essay, but instead I'll agree whilst adding that they always loved money more than their home country. Patriotism is merely a tool to them, rather than something they instinctively understand.

People with time on their hands have more time for social media than those without. That type of person will always disproportionately represent themselves in comments.

How do people have lots of time on their hands? By being insufferable in real life as well.

They usually start with money and confidence, and rarely get questioned as a result. We all act neurotic and are careful because mistakes can have a real impact on our day to day lives.

AIs and self help books, podcasts and various influencers all have a common problem in that they can make you feel like you have an answer whereas, in fact, you may be about to unleash chaos. In all cases a lot depends on the reader/listener/user.

There are good cases, but be careful.
