Another death on a city-owned road, in an area with a lot of pedestrians and cyclists. Harding Place doesn't have sufficient sidewalks and zero cycling infrastructure. Within ~1mi there have been 2 ped deaths, 1 car death, and ~4 nonfatal ped crashes.

Is this not an appropriate thing to hub? I’ve placed two hub requests for “debris in roadway (bike lane)” and they’ve both been closed without doing anything. Half of the bike lane width is blocked. @hubnashville.bsky.social ?

This one is just painted. I can easily find the street sweeping schedule in the hub app… I guess for non protected bike lanes it would be the street sweeping one?
Okay another hub question. When I request remove debris in roadway and ask for a bike lane to be swept because of lots of small sticks/debris and it is closed with the response “bike lane will be swept on route” does that mean they aren’t going to do anything? @kemcdonell.bsky.social ?
It would at least be nice for the error to explain so that when I submit again I can make a shorter description. Thank you for your reply.

Hub question saying to provide as much info as possible but then will give you an error if your description is too long.

Error when trying to submit a hub Nashville request.
Tried improperly parked vehicles and still getting this error.
Also obstruction of right of way is working for me. (You can tell I had an eventful ride into work today)
Update: I can submit for debris in roadway but not improperly parked vehicles.

Resolution of hub Nashville request, that says they are installing ped buttons and signals so that I can cross the road by bike.
Update to this is that they still want me to use ped buttons to get across the street, meaning I still have to walk to one side or the other when I am in the middle lane of the road trying to go straight. 😒
I see way more cars violate traffic laws than bicycles every day and put people in much more danger than a bicycle ever could.
It’s not illegal to bike on the sidewalk or crosswalk in Nashville, except in “business districts,” which I think is just part of downtown, and sometimes we are forced to run red lights because the light won’t recognize us and change.

A cargo bike loaded up with diapers, etc
Diapers, more diapers, toilet paper, tissues, 3 cartons of oat milk, new shoes for the girls, other misc grocery items. Not sure if it’s weird/bulky enough for the #carryshitolympics but might be my biggest load yet.
