I might just get stuck because they change their mind on what's a valid document (or not) while I need to keep travelling. I thought that getting the citizenship was the safest way to go giving the conversation about cancelling the Indefinite Leave to Stay...but apparently not the case.... end/
I read the guidelines and I am not sure if this new case of EU citizen will apply to me (for some details that are not mentioned in the documents - I sent the Home Office an email to ask clarifications). Yet, I am very anxious of the fact that if they keep going as they are.... 2/
I have my British citizenship ceremony planned in two weeks time and I know that I am going to need to travel shortly after. The Home Office changed rules for documents 3 times over the past 5 weeks. I am honestly super worried that I am going to end up stuck outside the Country. 1/
anyone else among my friends on here affected by this?...I am trying to wrap my head around these changes and I am not sure what to expect now...

I get frustrated that I do not manage to get to the interview stage. It would be a good practice at least to have the chance to give a job talk or go through an interview....I will just keep trying and see if there is anything that is going to be able to shift this pattern of rejections

I ended up on the cloud about "global policies" ...and also "philosophy"....I am not sure if I should consider giving a try to something else now, if I am posting the "wrong content" or if they discovered that I just submitted 1 single abstract veeeery outside my comfort zone in applied ethics...

I am not sure what I should do to enhance my chances at least to get to the interview stage. Any suggestions or list of key features that I should highlight in my applications very welcome.
Academics: what do you look for in an application/cv when you are hiring for a teaching position? I keep getting rejected at the application stage for teaching positions even if I managed to win a (supposedly) prestigious postdoc fellowship (chronically delayed for months for administrative issues).

Have you ever had a situation in which a delivery could decide your next couple of years? I sent some documents through both currier and postal service. Neither of the two delivered in time. The office to which they were destinated is now unsure about the possibility of accepting them with delays...
Thanks for sharing this Jack! I tend to be quite bad at pinning down the reasons of emotional reactions. What you say here resonates for me though. Being aware of all the possible objections is another bit of it, I do not want to be too defensive and there is not enough space to reply to everything

Yeah, I mean, I understand. My emotional reaction does not make any sense to me...but it keeps happening...the list of journals sound like a good idea, I usually have a couple of possible places in mind, but it might help having a list of venues that can sound like a plan! Thank you!
