Fantasy is all around us. Always. Thankful to the people that remind us of that. (And thankful to sell books to those that are in the market! 😃)

I’m excited to share another review that came through for the first book in my series, Victory and Death. They also had nice things to say about it.
Go to Independent Book Reviews and have a read, if you like! Leave a comment on their review if you agree or have thoughts to add! Thanks, friends.
Charging into 2026!
2025 was a very fulfilling year for me. As I sit here, working on some of the very last edits for the second novel in my series, I’m quite thankful for everything.
Happy new year to everyone. I sure hope you have some exciting things on the horizon for your 2026 as well!
Another stunning sunset from Spokane.

Cover Reveal! So excited to show what the cover of Book Two in my ongoing Planewars Saga will be. Release date is still pending, but if I can't make it happen before the end of the year, it will be early 2026! My cover artist, Mark Smylie, is amazing.

I remember in the middle of asking that Siri always hears me say 50 instead of 15.
R: “Hey, Siri. Set a timer for 50… wait, cancel. Cancel timer.”
S: “15-minute ‘Cancel Cancel Timer’ Timer set.”
R: (laughing) “Hey, Siri. Cancel timer.”
S: “‘Cancel Cancel Timer’ Timer canceled.”
R: (laughing more)
The Offspring, Jimmy Eat World, and New Found Glory put on a great show!

Signing and slinging. A good way to spend a day!
Had a ton of fun painting this one! And I had the honor of writing a guest article for the folks who are doing the fan continuation of the game online.

That’s my kind of morning. Happy Wednesday, folks!
Wow! Thanks! An especially huge compliment coming from a master of the trade!
A whole lot of firsts on this project. First time painting this large, first time attempting so many trees and such variety of terrain, and first time attempting to paint something translucent. It’s been fun!

Whew.
More than 14 years ago, I wrote the 90,000-word manuscript of what would eventually turn into my self-published debut novel and first entry in a series.
And, now here I sit. First draft of Book Two done. 126,284 words for this draft.
Feeling accomplished at this milestone!
How cool to be at my niece’s Half Price Books in Concord, CA! Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms out there!
Thank you to the Walnut Creek Barnes & Noble for having me today!
