Whatever happens now, we absolutely cannot allow Trump's refusal to seek Congressional authorization for what appears to be a large scale military attack on another country vanish from the media discussion, which already appears to be happening.

In hindsight it was a bad idea to put a child molester with dementia in charge of everything. That’s our bad. That one’s on us

We are a rogue state, run by a dictator, and the international community should treat us as such including all appropriate economic and diplomatic sanctions

Once again, one of the primary reasons we have arrived at this point (completely out-of-control & unconstitutional abuse of executive power to conduct wildly illegal foreign policy) is that no one, including the most senior people involved, went to jail for the rest of their lives for Iran-Contra.

A functioning Congress will have articles of impeachment drafted by the end of the day.

Our Congress will just go to social media to basically say “We don’t like this, but what are you gonna do?”

Hear me out, what if we put an angry toddler in charge of the most lethal military in the world, also we make him very racist, in addition the toddler is somehow a sex offender

If your position is that regime change should be forced on countries where the president does not respect democratic norms and regularly kidnaps opponents using an officially sanctioned paramiliatary, have I got news for you about your position on the United States

Trump voters have turned the most powerful country in the world - the longtime leader of the democratic West - into a violent rogue state.

In doing so, they have smashed any semblance of international law and order.

This ‘might is right’ world MAGA have inflicted upon us endangers all of humanity.

Even if Trump’s attack on Venezuela and kidnapping of Maduro somehow led to a positive impact on Venezuela’s future, it would not make these actions by the United States legal, moral or wise.

Normalising and legitimising this behaviour endangers all countries - democracies and dictatorships alike.

Can't help but feel like this is one of the reasons why the Constitution says If a dude in office does an insurrection, don't let that motherfucker hold office again

Bc clearly they cannot be trusted with power & control over the levers of government, & they do not care about democratic constraints

But what if Maduro’s involvement in the drug trade was an “official act”?

3 months ago 16119 2329 564 104

So this piece of crap squatting in the White House has decided to engage us in war to gain oil. This is not about drugs. This is about control. This is about him not being held accountable for his crimes. How much does it take until we act against him?

This is a foolish question but how often does US Law Enforcement get involved in international regime changes

3 months ago 10646 1518 41 163

People are going to try and lure you into debates about whether Maduro was a good guy or not and the thing is, it doesn’t matter for the purposes of discussing whether violent kidnappings and extrajudicial murders by the US government are ok. No, they aren’t! End of convo.

3 months ago 19863 5753 52 231

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

Just woke up even angrier. Impeach, convict, remove. Draft articles now. Either we have a representative government or we don’t. Do not shut up about this until there’s a vote.

Past is prologue.

In 1933, during the Great Depression, a group of wealthy businessmen tried to overthrow the US government and install a fascist dictator to protect their own interests.

And everything that led to it feels way too familiar right now.

This is not a history lesson, it’s a warning.

Data shows Louisiana ‘Swamp Sweep’ may put thousands with no criminal history in cuffs Louisiana leaders back the operation, but federal data shows most people targeted have no criminal convictions.

Arrest target is 5000 even though we don’t have that many people w/ criminal histories. Are these the kind of leaders we want, #Louisiana?? Stand up & protect your friends & neighbors.

Absolutely fitting coda to the whole Epstein horror show is that the brave testimony of dozens of women could not be credited and we need the emails of men to deem it credible.

Also note: whenever there’s a horrible bill & a couple of House D’s have inexplicably voted for it, these 6 Dems are likely the ones who did. They’ve voted w/ the GOP in order to pass some really sick stuff or, conversely, have refused to support what should be universally accepted as decent issues.

Court clerk alleged to have lost 100s of thousands in bonds Calvin Duncan, the challenger for incumbent Darren Lombard's seat in the clerk's office, and District Attorney Jason Williams' office allege that Lombard lost over half a million dollars in court and ...

Wow
this is wild. How does the Clerk lose track of that much money? I knew Darren’s office was messy, but... records in landfills & now missing out on over $600k in bond money?? We need new leadership.

VOTE Calvin Duncan for Clerk of Criminal Court this Sat, Nov 15! đŸ™ŒđŸ»đŸ’™
