I'm glad. I just worry when people get into the "fixing" us language because doing things differently or having different struggles doesn't make us broken and can really harm us in the long run and since I assumed you loved your grandson I figured you wouldn't intentionally hurt him that way.

If it's frustrating him and he wants to change it I think it's fine. But often it's frustrating because other people only except communication as "communicates my way"

As a grandmother I'm sure you know that even without verbal communication we communicate, how is it different than expecting someone to learn a new language so you don't have to learn theirs? How did you figure out how to do what works specifically for your brain. I'm pretty sure I struggle with BED and have so many sensory issues around food that it seems impossible to be healthy.

Had to do this all the time. An all-in-one machine has been life changing for me.

I just finished listening to the book "Asperger's Children". It was both thought provoking and heart wrenching.
