Dear job sites,
I can 100% guarantee that the Miltary does not want me. Please stop recommending me those jobs. I do not want the Miltary and they definitely don't want me.

There are currently 12 full remote disability confident jobs on the governments own find a job site 12 in the whole of the UK. There are 132 fully remote jobs and only 12 are disability confident.

It's ridiculous o'clock I'm about to graduate and frantically looking for jobs in a job market that is shit and seems to despise disabled people.

April is autism acceptance month, so if you haven't seen A Kind of Spark, it's a perfect time to. It was the first show that I saw myself represented in (genuinely what encouraged me to actually go for an autism assessment). It's a great show with amazing representation and a truly incredible cast.

I feel like at this point that NASA could possibly fund their next trip to the moon by selling the rise plushie as merch /hj/silly
But also get me one of those adorable things.

The whole artemis 2 mission made me realise just how sentimental humans are. There were so many edits and art and videos made about it, but also he really did love her to the moon and back.

Kudos to the women who saw me at the bus stop and immediately folded her buggy. We need more people like her.

The realisation that I have an incredible amount of books to move across the country is dawning on me. Last year I had two big boxes and a bag full? I've brought/have been brought many since then.

I know this is a tiny thing in the grand scheme of things but by the time I finish my undergraduate I will have in savings like 4-5 months rent if all things go to plan which is a massive relief for me because the end of first year I was barely surviving and now I have savings.

Just had the realisation that I will have three scripts written by the end of my undergraduate. One short film (that we made in first year), a play and a screenplay, and I still have no idea how to get someone to produce them. Like the writings there, i just need someone to make them.

What we've learnt this week is not to mess with the Opera and Ballet community. People very much still love Opera and Ballet. What we don't like is an over privileged man coming after their art. You never see an empty Opera house, but I've seen many empty Cinema's.

It's Self-Harm Awareness Day and as someone who struggled with self-harm for nearly a decade, I want to say to all who have self-harmed that I see you. You're loved. Your experiences are valid. And you should never be ashamed of how you cope. Your scars are beautiful, never be ashamed of them.

My illness may be chronic but my chair is iconic. Yes, that is Captain Barnacles and Peso (interesting fact they are held on by bracelets that were given to me at Ghosts events all the way back in 2023). The chair is called Trevor as in Trevor the blob, if you get that reference you are cool.

Made a prat of myself at the doctors assuming that it would be accessible, there's a ramp but there's also a sizable lip on the doorway so if you can't wheelie you can't get in. Also, the doorways are so small my god. You'd think it would be common sense for a gp to be fully accessible.

Day two of being a wheelchair user -abled-bodied people are annoying. HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY I DO NOT NEED HELP FOR YOU TO LEAVE ME ALONE?
I am fully capable of opening the door to my own flat thank you very much. This has happened twice... today!

I somehow now have a collection of old films and theatre magazines, I've never been a magazine collector but my current special interest is Robert Donat and there are many magazines with articles about him from the 30s, 40s and a few from 50s. So I now just have a folder of Donat related stuff

What I find most interesting about this is how incredibly relevant it is still nearly 80 years on. They were fighting producers to make good quality films and we still are today especially now with the awful rise in AI.

I will constantly be that person who emails their MP about the failings of the government. I don't have the ability to protest in a way that won't negatively affect my health so I write emails, I post on socials I do what I can even if that's very little because it's better than doing nothing.
