Was chatting with the director since she was at the desk and I haven’t seen her in ages, and she was like “this is SO good” (Kaiju Preservation Society) and I said “oh yeah I’ve read it…uh…a few times already.” I can’t remember but I might’ve recommended it to her during one of my past rereads?

Got two chonky fantasy novels at the library, plus I grabbed Long Live Evil by @sarahreesbrennan.bsky.social for a reread before All Hail Chaos drops, and I grabbed Kaiju Preservation Society by @scalzi.com for yet another reread since I was standing by that shelf anyway! Don’t question my process.

Got some grocery store and I tell you hwat, that wasabi was very potent and fumigated my sinuses. 🤣 Am I becoming a wuss all of a sudden? It was tasty though so no complaints!

Used up the last two kinda sad looking bananas and there’s a batch of banana chocolate chip muffins in the oven. I had exactly enough vanilla extract left, so now I gotta see how outrageously expensive THAT is on grocery day! What fun. 🙃

I really want a tasty sweet treat but that requires me having to actually bake something. I’m also pretty sure there’s not a lot of vanilla extract left and I would need that for cookies.

Got approved for another ARC on Netgalley, yay! I was trying to figure out what to do today, since I really should give my brain a little rest from writing (I say this after I already wrote a short 353 word chapter to follow the monster I finished yesterday, whoops).

What do you mean this chapter is at 2,361 words and I’m still not done?? I don’t recall how much I’d already done yesterday, but I went into yet another writing trance to get through what I’d planned for today, so that’s a pretty good accomplishment!

Made a kinda mug French toast thing to soothe me and this is pretty acceptable for when you want French toast but don’t want to actually cook.

This fic series is nearly at 9k, when did this happen? Anyway, I gotta ponder what happens next, but probably not right now. My brain is fried from making all of those words in a short span of time. Feels good to bang out a whole thing at once, though! Nature (my brain) is healing.
