Happy birthday Sir David! In celebration of a mighty 99 years around the sun and the release of the most important conservation film of our generation (go see “Ocean with David Attenborough”).
Thank you for being our guiding light, the voice of our conscience, and the voice for our planet. 🙏🌍💛

Our Changing Planet: Restoring our Rivers, is on BBCOne and BBCiPlayer this Sunday at 7pm.
I’m in Northern California witnessing the dismantling of huge dams & how the mighty Klamath River is being brought back to life thanks to an incredible river ecosystem restoration project.

Taking a wee break from socials, wishing you a peaceful season full of self-care & cosy lie ins, boundaries (am I right? 🥸), laughter, hugs, warmth & love!
(Liz Bonnin’s Wild Caribbean is on BBC iPlayer if sunshine & beautiful people help to add to the warmth 😉)
See you in 2025!

Thanks for having me @channel4tv.bsky.social and for organising such a powerful and important day.
Loved the panel with this lovely lot, discussing how our industry can play a meaningful part in behavioural change, tackling the issue at the root cause, galvanising our collective power as a sector, when leadership in others might be lacking.
Ah yeah. There she goes again. Enthusing about the need for systemic & economic transformation if we are to succeed in protecting the planet’s life support systems that we need to thrive (my whole career as a wildlife biologist & broadcaster has led me to this point, I couldn’t be more convinced)🧵

I'm his second biggest fan. Good to see you over here.
"Just half a pound of the stuff may remove as much carbon dioxide as a tree can". What the f**k does that even mean?
A mature tree removes ~25 kg of CO₂/year. This "new powder" is a sorbent with a capacity of 0.96 mmol/g, so that's 0.0096 kg of CO₂ per 0.5 lbs. You'd need 1305 lbs to equal a tree.
This young human… 🤗💛
I’m his biggest fan. Please follow him if you’d like to be reminded about humanity, joy, beauty, art, nature and connection!

A tiny taste of the animals of Galápagos..
Giant tortoises, sea lions, blue footed red footed and Nazca boobies, waved albatrosses, marine iguanas, mockingbirds (that sparked Darwin’s imagination about evolution before the finches did) and even flamingos!
Coming soon in collaboration with Nat Geo.

Galápagos is a magical and humbling place.
Not a blunder at all don’t worry! And yes this is me. Last time I checked. 😂
Thank you for the far too kind compliments. Not sure I’m deserving of such accolades to be fair!
