The story should be bigger full stop. But how is this aspect of it barely mentioned? It seems *bizarre*.
5. If this is, as I suspect, online recruitment by Iranian agents, then we should be alert to escalations. The classic escalation path is graffiti to arson to murder. They seem to be skipping the graffiti this time.
4. Some clarity from the authorities would be helpful here as they are making arrests and charging people. How are these attacks being organised? Are the attackers recruited for ideology or paid, or both? I know it's early but this is becoming a daily occurrence.
2. The attacks are pretty poorly planned and executed, often causing little or no damage. These are amateurs and perhaps rushed amateurs. That could change over time.
3. The attackers are masking up, acting at night, running away. They aren't expecting to get caught.

1. These London attackers are clearly coordinating with HAYI, which usually breaks the news first or has exclusive footage of the attacks. This isn't the Shiite equivalent of "ISIS-*inspired* terrorism", it's more official than that.
Can confirm the reports of an arson attempt at Kenton United Synagogue. Overnight, HAYI social channels began claiming an attack on a London synagogue without specifying location.
