If you read the article, it acknowledges that there is a broad range of opinion among Iranian Jews. I obviously wouldn't want to live under the Islamic Republic, the point is that there are Jews who choose to do so, and the US is supporting their synagogue being blown up

I could be wrong, but the independent redistricting ballot measure that NY passed that was central to this was not about being nice to Republicans, but about ending the incumbent protection racket during the long period of Republican-dominated state senate and Democratic assembly
