This will never not be right to me.

I personally think that having a labor secretary that wants to kill unions is much worse than that time Biden helped rail workers get what they wanted without not getting paid and pissing off the public but what do I know

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Michael Avenatti crowned the presumptive frontrunner on MSNBC. Beto O'Rourke in Time Magazine. I watched Stacey Abrams cameo on Star Trek Discovery. All those candidates will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

Yeah I was ride or die for Harris in 2020 but Biden really persuaded me.

And I still refuse to engage with the lame gossip rag attempts to turn Biden supporters and Harris supporters against each other because of what went down. He was a great POTUS, she was a great VP, we lost so much.

I'm in this boat. Was against Biden in the primary, viewed him as a stick in the mud. The level of miracles he was able to make happen turned me into more of an optimist about how government can work and how the Democrats can govern. Even now that has not changed.

Again, there's a variety of politician who's utterly desperate for the Democratic Party to carry them as they flail around impotently in a job they suddenly realize they don't know how to do, but also will take every opportunity given to them to slander it.

"The conversation between Herzl and von Plehve illustrates the Bund’s problem with Zionism. Zionism was not just impractical, in Bundists’ eyes. It was submission to the same bigots who wanted to kick Jews out of their homes. The Bund believed that Jews belonged in eastern Europe. “We are not strangers here and not guests, even though the Russian government considers us as such,” one local Bund committee wrote. “The richness of the land is soaked through with our blood…. We demand and fight for that which belongs to us, for human, civil and political rights.” To leave meant letting their tormenters win. The Bund coined a word for this stubborn insistence on staying: do’ikayt. Hereness, as opposed to the There of Palestine. Bundists would fight for freedom and dignity in the place where they lived."

it is so very bizarre to read someone trying to write as if the Bund's idea of "Hereness" is the correct answer for the Jews of Eastern Europe, as if an apocalypse isn't coming to kill them all, as if the correct answer Zionist or not isn't "here" but "anywhere but here"

As annoying as it was having such a clown car of Democratic candidates for Governor in California, Becerra surging in the polls is an example of why so many people polling at 3% didn't want to drop out. Overnight he went from a longshot to tied for frontrunner. Everyone hoped it'd be them.

Honored to have the endorsement of Assemblymember Celeste Rodriguez, a champion for San Fernando Valley families.

She knows I will show up for them every single day as Governor.

16 years ago, Republicans gerrymandered Virginia, taking 8 out of 11 seats in the House of Representatives.

Tomorrow, Virginia voters will have the chance to combat Trump's gerrymandering efforts by voting YES on the referendum.

"Class came first for a socialist like Medem. His sympathies lay with Polish factory workers, not Jewish industrial barons. “Solidarity of the entire nation means giving up the class struggle, [and the] spiritual and material enslavement of the proletariat,” he wrote. When, decades later, the Black Panther Party chairman Fred Hampton said, “We say we’re not going to fight capitalism with black capitalism, but we’re going to fight it with socialism,” Medem would have cheered. But class war"

you know its hard to read this without the knowledge that 40-ish years later the Jewish laborer and the Jewish industrialist will die side by side in Hitler's gas chambers with no "working class solidarity" for the socialist laborer Jew from Polish or Ukrainian working class

My main cannabis thought is if I had children, I would do everything in my power to get them to avoid cannabis until they were out of their teens. It seems pretty bad for developing brains, and the cannabis available today is just categorically different than what was available 20 years ago.

AOC and Mamdani are heavily promoted by the party in spite of their deep unpopularity, which is something that should be treated as an immense act of faith and trust, but it never actually gets reciprocated, and I kind of wonder how long that's going to last.

The thing about politicians like Mamdani and AOC who are presented by their fans are super popular politicians that the entire party must emulate is that the reality borne out by actually asking people how they feel about them, is that they're highly controversial and unpopular politicians.

This was always who Ron Paul was. He sold insane racist and antisemitic conspiracy newsletters, and supported an attempt by the founders of stormfront to do a coup in Dominica. The fact he got treated as this cute weird elf when he ran for President was appalling.

Oil and car companies are laughing all the way to the bank that the left has decided that data centers are the most important things to resist, even as the Trump administration cheats them out of cheap, clean energy and inexpensive electric vehicles

Joe Biden geared a tremendous amount of the ample economic and industrial legislation he got passed at red/rural areas in particular. Their thanks for that was to vote in even higher numbers for the guy that promised to nuke all that fresh investment that was sent their way.

“Move fast and break things” as an ethos was always going to run into “laws are a hinderance to xyz” and while people may cheekily call it ‘cyberpunk’ or such the reality is it’s nothing more than white collar criminality and should be prosecuted as such
