Good review this. Seems to be a fair bit of McCarthy revisionism (was he thought of as a bumbling idiot by the press at this point? I don't remember that narrative). Think the biggest problem -bar the shit kits- is the fact that Coogan plays him as Partridge, like he seems to for every role now.
