A meme picture based on the screenshot from Jack Nicholson in "The Shining" as Jack Torrance. He has just cut his way into the door and is manically shouting through it. Rather than the real caption of "Here's Johnny!", the meme instead read: "IIIIIIT'S ONE WEEK AWAY!"
In one week's time, we'll be hosting our second quiz night in central Glasgow! Once again we'll be at The Merchants' Guild.

Top trumps style listings of intelligence, agility, stamina, special ability and fear factor for the character) (Also Dawn French isn't an entirely silly fourth option - she was suggested as a possible 7th Doctor by original series producer Sydney Newman in a 1986 memo when the show was considering a major reformat due to complaints from then Director-General Michael Grade.) (Fact like this are just some of the joys you can expect at a CCC Ultimate Geek Quiz)
These were all the first questions of the first four of our five rounds - did you get them right?

...How has it been a week since our First Ultimate Geek Quiz already? 😱
Congratulations to the team "Four Aces & A Joker" who came in 1st place with 53/70 & walked away with a slew of Dragonbane goodies fromFree League Publishing.
We ran our 1st quiz night.
Loads of fun, energy, and a room full of people connecting.
One response really stood out,
“They were prepared, understanding of and provided support for non-mobility disabilities.”
That matters.
Because inclusivity shouldn’t be exceptional.
It should be the standard.
A screenshot from the Disney Pixar CGI animation "Finding Nemo", A pink starfish, clinging to the side of a glass wall, speaks with it's mouth wide open. In large, Impact font characters the meme caption is: "TODAY'S THE DAY!"
Today's the day!
Hope to see you all for 7pm at The Merchant's Guild in Glasgow today for our First Ultimate Geek Quiz (and our raffle).
Prizes up for grabs include donations from Free League Publishing, Jangling Space and more.

A still from the 1960 film "The Time Machine", based on the 1895 novel by H.G. Wells. The Time Traveler (nameless in the book but called George in the film) is a Victorian British gentleman, dressed formally in black jacket/blue & grey waistcoat. He is sitting in his laboratory on his time machine, which has a steampunk aesthetic and vaguely resembles a sled with a huge copper satellite dish on the back.
Time is almost getting away from you - our quiz takes place in just two days' time!
There's still a small number of tickets left if you'd like to come to Merchant's Guild and take part - events.humanitix.com/the-ultimate... (George)
And of course you can still book tickets to our First Ultimate Geek Quiz where that piece - along with some other prizes of a more traditionally nerdy nature - are up for grabs in our quiz and raffle.

If you're interested in trying Jangling Space out, their website www.janglingspace.org includes all their information including how to book a class or buy a piece of your own
A piece of stained glass art sitting on top of some paperback books, in front of a regular clear window looking out onto a winter Glasgow street. The stained glass is of a vaguely highland croft like scene, with a white house with black roof that is surrounded by green hills, blue river and brown mountains. All the sections are framed off with thick black borders
Thanks to Jangling Space, who have donated something very unique as a prize for our event - some stained glass for your nerd room wall!
Jangling Space are a collective based in Shawlands which runs classes to help teach people how to make their own stained glass pieces.
We'll be posting about the prizes over the next couple of days.
There's still some tickets left for the event on Humanitix.

The black and white logo of Swedish RPG publishing company "Free League": their name in black capital letters, above which is a circle that has a six pointed flower within.
