Andy Warhol - DACS Andy Warhol was born in Pittsburgh, USA and studied at the Carnegie Institute of Technology.As a painter, filmmaker and author he was a principal figure of the Pop Art movement. In the 1960s he experimented with images from popular culture, using everyday consumer objects as subjects.
