With no action from Grove Green’s 3 Labour councillors, Lib Dem activist @arranangus.bsky.social has stepped in, liaising with gas workers on Grove Green Road & pushing Waltham Forest Council to arrange a special bin collection for residents whose bins were missed due to the #roadworks.
🔶Higham Hill councillor candidate Alex Marshall-Lewis puts the spotlight on an area between Shaw Square & Millfield Avenue, E17, that is plagued with littering & dumping, explaining how Lib Dems would combat these #flytipping hotspots if elected.🔶

Did you know…
Labour-run Waltham Forest is just *247th out of 321 councils in England for #recycling.
Improving recycling and bin collections across the borough are one of Waltham Forest Liberal Democrat’s ’ #SixToFix Local Election pledges.

This water has been pouring out of this council block for three weeks now.
Lambeth council say it will be another month until they can fix it!
It is completely mad that people are kept awake at night and huge amounts of water are wasted because the council can't get their act together.
Waltham Forest Lib Dems chair @libdemalex86.bsky.social on why we can’t trust anything Labour says!
Council Leader Grace Williams promised a fair deal for Waltham Forest if a Labour government was voted in. Instead, we’ve got more cuts & need an emergency bailout!
Waltham Forest deserves better!
For #LGBTQ History Month @arranangus.bsky.social , an activist with Waltham Forest Lib Dems, highlights the demise of LGBTQ+ spaces in London. More than half such venues have closed since 2006, including in our borough, meaning fewer safer spaces and less inclusivity. What are your experiences?
So much hope. So much sadness.

Planning to travel on the Central Line this weekend? There are line closures and service changes, “so if you have a journey to make, leave enough time” says Waltham Forest Lib Dem activist @arranangus.bsky.social .

Our WF Lib Dem activist @arranangus.bsky.social reports a big water leak on the corner of Francis Road & Warren Road, Leyton E10. It’s been like this for 3 days, but Thames Water hasn’t sent anyone to investigate let alone fix it!! Let us know if you’re experiencing similar in your neighbourhood.
A (slightly belated) enormous thanks to Sutton's Royal Mail delivery office for giving me a tour of their amazing sorting operation - particularly at the busiest time of year!
Layla Moran MP is a spot on. 👏👏👏

Great to meet Sue Bill from the charity PROMISEworks today. ✅
It was useful to talk with Sue about local issues, and how their mentors can support our young people.
I now look forward to working with Sue to grow a network of mentors in West Somerset.

This was a hopeless budget.

It was great to meet Shannon from Preston School this week, during Parliament Week, for an interview for their school newspaper.
It is brilliant to see young people taking such an interest in democracy. I am looking forward to seeing the paper when it goes to print on Monday.
Last night, I am proud that our party defeated @Nigel_Farage & stood up against his latest attempt to drag our country away from its proud tradition of #freedom, #fairness and #justice. #LibDems

Weep for Charlie Kirk if you want to but know that you should be weeping for all of the victims.
Why do the Republicans say that this death is blood on the hands of Democrats but refuse to accept that with the same reasoning their own hands are covered after the assassination of the Democrat lawmaker recently?
As a UK resident I don't know any details about these other deaths but why do politicians on the right get incensed by the killing of an ally but care nothing for the other deaths? Why not take solace in Charlie Kirks words 'a few deaths are a price worth paying to have guns available in the USA?'
Where is the Republican outrage over those deaths - where is the Boris Johnson tweet about the man in North Carolina, about the man killed and woman injured in Arkansas?
