Sometimes art hangs on the wall and is devoured by our eyes while other times it is on top of metal plates at DeLaurenti’s lunch counter captivating our tastebuds.
Today, at SAM, I found a room with ten unassuming pieces of art. I quickly discovered these pieces were Rembrandt etchings, one named "Faust in His Study Watching a Magic Disc." Upon closer examination, he was indeed watching a magic disc, and I was in a little room studying centuries-old etchings.
Ingredients for Potage St Germain: butter lettuce, leeks, peas, butter, salt, pepper, and mint.
Ingredients for roasted veggies: small potatoes, parsnips, zucchini, parsley, carrots, fennel bulb, salt, pepper, thyme
Mise en place: Potage St. Germain and Roasted veggies.

Twenty two years ago, I was introduced to the work of Albert Bierstadt through a reproduction. Even in that form, I fell in love. Today, for the first time, I stood in front of his 6’x4’ oil painting titled, Puget Sound on the Pacific Coast.
I lost track of time. I lost my breath.
