That is true. But we don’t get to choose a lot in this world. We don’t control who becomes the head of every state, but we have to live with the implications of every election. In that case, harm reduction matters, imho.

I think any clear repudiation of the authoritarian forces aligning against democracy - Bibi, Putin, Trump - brings hope. No government or political leader will ever be perfect. But in this moment in human history, the clear, established enemies of the good must be vanquished.
