"Hello, Sam. My former partner, Agent Mathias, worked with your father a few times a number of years ago. I never had the pleasure."

"I don't ask how they get here unless they seem interested in not killing humans. This one, however, was intent to kill."

Jens smiles. Interesting. He always enjoys meeting new people and new things.

"Hello, Cirrus. My name is Jens."

He takes another slow drag from the cigarette and exhales, brow furrowed. His head tilts, curious.

The bar is loud, music and the sound of a group of drunken men playing pool. Jens has just walked in, damp from the rain outside, and has sat down on a stool two seats away.

He orders whiskey and glances in the direction of the other.

"Long night?" he asks casually.

Jens is walking outside of a bar, the hour drawing fairly late. There's a misting rain around him, and somewhere in the past hour or so he's misplaced his lighter.

So he approaches the stranger. "D'you have a light?"

"Well. I never met John, but you're too young to be him — one of the sons, then."

Jens tucks his badge back into the inner pocket of his jacket and raises an eyebrow slightly.

"I was always told that every hunter eventually comes into contact with the Winchesters."

Jens reaches into his jacket, pulling his wallet from it to flash the FBI badge.

"Agent Hollis, FBI. A very interesting case for you to be involved with. Which Winchester are you?"

Jens is a man of simple pleasures. He's not materialistic, but he likes expensive alcohol and expensive cigarettes.

"A weather spirit," he repeats with a smile, expression turning a little curious. "That's very interesting. Yes, I am a hunter. I will not shoot you."

"We have no suspects at this time, because this is far from a normal case. Why don't you tell me what you know?"

"Marlboro Black, menthol," Jens confirms, watching the. . . Creature floating above him, absorbing the nicotine from his cigarette.

"Is it impolite to ask what you are?"

"What department did you say you were from?"

Jens recognizes hunters when he sees them, having been around a few. His partner had worked with John Winchester many years ago — so he knows of the Winchesters.

He's only pulling this thread because he's amused.

"I'm assigned to the case," Jens answers with a slightly raised eyebrow. "What is your attachment to this case?"

Jens glances up from the cigarette in his hand, exhaling a breath that is just smoke. He's been smoking since he was sixteen, it's not about being hunter.

But he will admit that he's gotten worse since he became a hunter.

"Ah. You're welcome?" he responds, brow furrowed.

"I've heard someone has been poking around my crime scenes," Jens muses as he approaches, holding his wallet up to show his badge. "I'm assuming that's you."

Jens the only hunter on his team. He still handles any supernatural cases that the FBI stumbles across and has become, in recent years, a seasoned hunter.

It's been a long couple of nights, and Jens hasn't been sleeping well — he doesn't, often, when he's working cases, but he'll manage it.

He's stepping out of his hotel room, lighting a cigarette and taking a slow drag.

"Hello. I've been told you're FBI on this case."

When Jens arrives at the most recent crime scene, @bitchester.bsky.social is immediately indicated to him as an FBI agent also working this case. (This is their sixth victim, heart removed — Jens has an idea of what this is already.)

It makes Jens' eyebrow raise slightly, and he approaches the man.
