The great SoCal bookman @erikpedersen.bsky.social revisits his story about Henri Coulette, now that the poet’s work is back in print—and Alexander Voloshin makes a cameo, too.

Doing this next week in London:
What, you may ask, does a forgotten poem by a foreign-born Hollywood extra have to tell us now? All I can say is that Alexander Voloshin’s SIDETRACKED has been a source of comfort for me over the past few years—a sympathetic voice reaching across decades. “Been there,” he nods…
I hold in my hands a finished copy of the strangest and most wonderful little book, Alexander Voloshin’s SIDETRACKED: EXILE IN HOLLYWOOD. Not officially out until April 21, but I bet @pauldrybooks.bsky.social won’t stand on ceremony. Order it now, won’t you? www.pauldrybooks.com/products/sid...

Wonderful launch event last night for LUMINOUS BODIES, Devon Jersild’s beautiful new novel about Marie Curie. Becky Dayton of the Vermont Book Shop channeled Terry Gross, interviewing Devon at Middlebury, Vermont’s Town Hall Theater, and Becky and Devin were incredibly entertaining.
