Love! It’s going into my high school classroom library as we get into the Cold War/Space Race. We all deserve to be seen in our heroes! I learned so much - embarrassed to say I had no idea of these heroes. We will be using this book to inspire future research. Picture books belong in all classrooms

Working on educator’s guide for new Boxcar Children graphic novels coming out this summer. The text to text opportunities are meaningful -a powerful way to teach visual/textual evidence & personal interpretation. Compare the covers/ opening pages. excited to share complete guide when it’s finished.
New classroom poster and my personal motto as a teacher

So. Much. This. @djpatrickareed.bsky.social pulled me in on the very first page!
Thank you @nadinetakvorian.bsky.social for sharing powerful history about the Armenian genocide. An inhuman event, still ongoing, made human/accessible through the eyes of young woman trying to find truth of her family & how to share it. The power graphic novels to emotionally involve the reader.
I absolutely love this book! A perfect example of why we need to approach literature as humanities- the history, the people, the words -all go together. Will be going in my classroom as we teach about the Spanish Civil War & rise of totalitarianism! Eileen Blair is a hero. @andreachalupa.bsky.social

This book hit me directly in the feels! Beautiful message of taking it easy on yourself& finding your way. “You’ll find where your art belongs.” …. I can’t wait to get this into my classroom as this message will resonate with so many of my students. Thank you @faitherinhicks.bsky.social
Out this August! Can’t wait to see it in full color. Zany and hysterical fun. Visual story-telling taking full advantage of the medium. Team work. Fascinating science sprinkled throughout. LOVE how the end of each chapter builds suspense. All from the brilliant . @johnbgallagher.bsky.social
That means the world from you! Thank you!
