This is amazing and it does make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. We've all heard plenty of dead men's voices but this is *Robert* *Johnson*.

Rejoin is coming Customs union is a distraction. Only full membership offers a compelling vision of Britain's future.

“There’s no escaping this conversation. The damage Brexit has done to this country is obvious now to everyone. We wasted years of our lives pursuing a project whose only possible outcome was to mutilate and embarrass us”

This conversation cannot happen soon enough.

This is an account close to the Iranian leadership. We are now seeing the shape of why Iran agreed so enthusiastically to this "ceasefire".

They will control and toll the Strait for the first time. They keep their nuclear program. They keep their missiles.

What a disaster.

I’m struggling to understand what the Sky panel said that he considered so ‘insulting’. Unless they’re just so used to Fox-style propaganda from their news that anything less than fawning praise is deemed an affront.

A question that keeps coming up on the @mrjamesob.bsky.social show on @lbc.co.uk is "What if Trump just declares victory and runs away?"

I am only a Simple Seafarer - But I have given the matter some thought over the last few weeks. If it were easy to answer I would have rung in already...

An excellent, if sobering, episode. Thank you for making it.

I agree, there are strong 'end of empire' vibes coming from the US, as they prosecute an expensive, failed war overseas whilst living standards go down, prices go up, civil servants go unpaid, infrastructure crumbles & open corruption thrives along with religious fanaticism at home. Hubris.

MAGA's commitment to "free speech" was always a smokescreen.

They didn't want free speech. They wanted to weaponize the federal government to centrally plan culture with censorship and suppression.

We're now at the point where they're comfortable saying the quiet part out loud.

Wondering what leverage in negotiations looks like?

Australia's new FTA with the EU provides 16,830 tonnes of tariff free access for beef.

Australia's FTA with the UK, completed with a desperate Johnson administration, provided 35,000 tonnes tariff free, rising to unlimited over 15 years.

Brexiters said the UK had to leave the EU to get trade deals like this. Obviously, they lied. ... And the EU-AUS trade deal is far better than the one Brexit Britain struck with Australia!

Everyone but Trump Understands What He’s Done Allied leaders know that any positive gesture they make will count for nothing.

Today Trump said there is no war, he won the war, Europe must help with the war, it’s Europe’s war, he doesn’t need Europe to win the war, Barack Obama started the war in 1979 (at age 17) & other presidents said they wish they had started the war.

Media: President Trump shifts tone about the war.

Hello, rest of world. Today in Britain the leaders of mainstream political parties have been debating whether putting native woodland creatures on our banknotes is emblematic of our tragic decline as a patriotic nation, and we hope things are equally weird with you.
