I can’t imagine going through a map without knowing how good some of the storage containers are.
I still continue to be shocked by how fun but also special Marathon continues to be. I get why it’s not a game for everyone but it sucks how much people wanted it to fail when it is truly so well designed and clearly has so much love and care in it.
That being said, I do wish you go in solo. In solo I find that there’s a smaller chance of third partying which was still the biggest threat on this map. Which is ironic because it feels bigger than the others, at least more so than Perimeter and Outpost.
The map is easily the best of the three in terms of design and threat. It feels possible to get lost in way where your hopeless and surrounded but also hopeless and alone.
Just did my first Cryo Archive with the Cryo sponsored kit and I’ve never had a better kit. It feels ridiculous that the sponsored kit is the bare minimum for Cryo with how good it is.

I never played an extraction shooter before Marathon but it’s tickling this greedy part of my brain that I haven’t gotten from a multiplayer game before.
I think I like solo in Marathon more than playing with randoms. Sure it’s creepier and more tense, but I don’t have to worry about being jumped by a squad when my own trio never wants to walk together. 🤬
Honestly, this crossover is so interesting to me as a fan of Magic’s lore and world. Usually the crossovers go one way with Magic sacrificing a piece of its identity to bring in outside IP. I can’t remember the last time someone else used Magic’s IP, I’d prefer honestly.
