The problem Palantir solved was how to ensure each vaccination centre had the equipment and vaccines needed — and the right number of patients in the queue to get it. The fact that the vaccine rollout was achieved without controversy was in no small part down to Palantir.
Meg Hillier MP, Chair of the Public Accounts Committee, said:
"The £22 billion for test and trace is about the annual budget of the Department for Transport. Test and Trace still continues to pay for consultants at £1000 a day.
Yet despite the unimaginable resources thrown at this project Test and Trace cannot point to a measurable difference to the progress of the pandemic, and the promise on which this huge expense was justified - avoiding another lockdown – has been broken, twice.
DHSC and NHST&T must rapidly turn around these fortunes and begin to demonstrate the worth and value of this staggering investment of taxpayers' money. Not only is it essential it delivers an effective system as pupils return to school and more people return to their workplace, but for the £billions spent we need to see a top class legacy system. British taxpayers cannot be treated by Government like an ATM machine. We need to see a clear plan and costs better controlled."
Oh, just a puff piece in The Times applauding the black shirt wearing, grandson of a fascist, Louis Mosley for rescuing the NHS Test and Trace programme, the same programme that cost £22bn and made no measurable difference.

Hi credibility is shot to feck, Peter. This is not just about Mandelson. It's about almost every decision he's taken since entering number 10 including the enabling of genocide.
Centrist neoliberals have really shown their true colours over the last fortnight & none of it is pretty.

Starmer's destroying Labour & handing Britain over to a global far-right that will likely hunt down all three pillars of his traditional support base, annihilate the poor & any last shred of ecological stability. This is worse than moral failure: it's existential defeatism & grotesque arrogance.

Over 40,000 protestors killed in Iran reports suggest. Why is there no the same level of outrage about this as there is (and should be) over similar fatalities in Gaza? Is it just lack of access to media?

Govt minister Heidi Alexander says they want to see "proper democratic values" back in the heart of Iran
Back? A reminder that it was the USA and UK who overthrew democracy in Iran in 1953 in order to protect their oil interests. A look at Venezuela tells us not much has changed

“If everybody always lies to you, the consequence is not that you believe the lies, but rather that nobody believes anything any longer… And a people that no longer can believe anything cannot make up its mind…And with such a people you can then do what you please.”

Broadcasting every detail of the Bondi attack while ignoring the six young people starving to death in British jails & the 100s of 1000s living & dying under inhuman conditions in Gaza just tells us that morality at BBC News has collapsed.

Karam, this is great work and I'm so grateful you're doing it.
It may not matter to you, but if it does, a few of the names could do with a check & change where there are extra or missing letters.

Falling rents. Rising wages. Perhaps stopping immigration works
Real living standards might grow if the UK replicates
Trump's mass deportation policies
Matthew Lynn
06 Dec 2025 - 07:00AM GMT
There has also been a clampdown on fresh visas and the citizens of entire countries have been banned from trav-elling to the United States.
Trump has had a mixed second term so far, but on one major issue, he has kept his campaign promises. He has dramatically driven immigration down.
We are starting to see what kind of impact that is having on the American economy and - so far - it is surprisingly positive.
Who knows, perhaps a few more developed countries should give it a try. An endless supply of cheap workers might not be as vital as we keep getting told it is.
If there was one issue that delivered Trump's decisive election victory last November, it was immigration.
As he closes the first year of his second term, he has delivered on the pledge to reduce it.
According to figures quoted by Kristi Noem, the homeland security secretary, half a million illegal immigrants have been deported, and another million and a half have left of their own accord.
The British commentariat are to the right of Oswald Mosley and Enoch Powell. They are an existential threat to the UK—they say ‘jump’; the government says ‘how high?’

It'd be helpful for cars to have speed limiters for 20mph areas. I don't have a car (environment), but whenever I drive my mum's old Panda I find that 20mph is difficult to maintain in any gear. I usually end up driving at 15mph in 2nd, which infuriates folk behind but is at least safe.

Imo this is the worst betrayal of Britain so far: handing our most personal & national security-critical data to a far-right owned global corp already implicated in genocide via Israel's alleged use of Palantir targeting tech. Unforgivable, & guess who's paying them? During a cost of living crisis.

Palantir needs driving out of British infrastructure as a matter of urgent national security. This is a hostile takeover & the fact Labour are as complicit as the Tories = the end of political trust.
Starmerism = austerity, authoritarianism, co-operation with the Israeli genocide & Palantir. NOPE.
