Throwing a civil servant under the bus will not distract from the fact that the PM asked no questions about Mandelson's vetting, that his office did not even want to conduct vetting, or that he made an outrageous error of judgement in appointing Mandelson in the first place.

The PM must resign.

That will happen anywhere in England where the Greens aren't organised.

Absolutely but we are still getting local election results of 5% percent in some places.

No one in the main parties actually believes in anything and only view morality as a comms issue.

Yeah that's roughly what I'd expect. The issue for Greens is we are rubbish in areas we aren't organised whereas other parties are carried by their history or money.

I'm hoping people take Reform wins as a rehearsal for a Reform government. And hoping that in places where Reform does well voters will see how awful they are and hopefully enough people will have second thoughts about them come 2029 to take away much of their popularity.

I think Reform will win big but not as big as they would've a year ago. I think this will be their peak. Their councils will show a lot of people what they're about and now there's a new show in town with a much more compelling message!

It's at £66k! Woohoo!

17 days until Reform and Labour get an absolute drubbing by the people they think don't matter. 💚

Zack has no say in the disciplinary process. In a normal organisations no fault suspensions are normal while an investigation is carried out. That is also the case in the Green Party.

People who have been accused of transphobia and other forms of racism have been through the same process.

NHS England is NHS Commissioning Board and, before that, the NHS Commissioning Board Authority rebranded.

Anyone supporting Streeting's plan is effectively saying we should ditch the organisation that ran the most sucessful health campaign in NHS history and move it's functions to the people responsible for PPE contracts.

They didn't create the NHS. They restructured it, moving functions around. The Tories didn't create NHS breast screening or electronic medical records.

It was created from bits of the NHS. It is transparent and publicly accountable. NHS England is not a separate body. NHS England and ICBs are the NHS. That's what the NHS is. There isn't the NHS over here and NHS England over there.
Scrapping it is one step closer to no NHS.

100k NHS staff made redundant with no plan, no audit, no impact assessment and no way of knowing how they were going to pay the redundancies. The result will absolutely be more deaths, more delays and more hospital scandals.

I’m a bit late to this article, and don’t have access to the full text, but the headline captures it perfectly.

NHS England was responsible for cancer screening, vaccinations, training, prescribing guidance, training, IT, primary care contracts and anything else it makes sense to do nationally.
The disadvantage for politicians is all contracting is in the public domain instead of behind doors at the DOH.
