Snow, hail, and thunder. All at the same time. 2026.

None of those people shop at my Costco, because they ruthlessly enforced the mask mandates.

One can only hope small children swam in that pool with the swallowed water.

ICE to "assist" TSA in airports. Slow. Clap.

Guys, we still have 2 SCOTUS judges and 1 POTUS, all alive and serving in their positions. Can we shift the AWESOME focus on justice for survivors of sexual violence from a deceased activist, to the dudes living and functioning as some of the most powerful world leaders in history?

Getting the current rapist in chief outta office feels a lot more urgent, though. For immigrants, for women, for farmworkers. For farmers, for our environment. For everyone, except maybe a handful of dudes in Silicon Valley and Wall Street.

That is your response to a post about r4pe?!

That because of the omnipresent fear of immigration or labor official crackdowns, sexual violence thrived in remote fields and migrant laborer lodging. As both a SA survivor and having that knowledge, today's news really hit me hard. Dolores is 95. I want her to see some justice.

My initial forray into public interest tech, was doing ux for a farmworker community startup (don't ask). One of the first things I learned, is that for women farmworkers the risk and incidence of sexual abuse—by owners, crew leads, and peers—far outweighed labor exploitation or immigration risks.

Sorry, humans still need a tool to draw boxes and arrows with. Figma is and still will be everything, for designers. That ain't no InDesign to a Quark XPress.

Pols are surveys, which are an easy to manipulate research method. Says a researcher. Elections are binary choices with consequences, and only "problematic" because of systemic disenfranchisement. Care about reality, or don't. Your choice.

Years is HIGHLY uncommon. The SSA is its own problem that holds up all forms of legal identity with name & gender changes. That said, requiring any ID to vote is a totally separate issue grounded in zero data—and clearly rooted in personal biasses that violate all principles of a healthy democracy.

Disenfranchised people exist in communities, too—and given how history often suppresses their voices, singing the outcomes from uplifted enfranchised perspectives doesn't help.

Oops, my bad! $165, ~$200 if you need it faster than 2mos.

No it doesn't. It's not easy, but years is hyperbolic. People long before 47 put systems in place to make it easier. I've had my share of passport issues, but 2-4mos has been the norm (and $75 if you've never changed your name and have a SSN) as long as I've known.

I do research as part of my job. Surveys are incredibly easy to manipulate, intentionally or not. They are both one of the worst research devices, and one of the most heavily used. Kellyanne Conway didn't get rich as a survey gal, by chance. Listen to communities, not surveys.

Black women have led the way, but they are not alone. MANY others stand with them. And, will continue to.

If you're a service member being ordered to prep for deployment for the War in Iran and you have moral and/or ethical misgivings on all this, remember that you have the right to apply for conscientious objector status.

Nothing is more representative of SV-VC culture, than that. Who got 47 into office, and who ran DOGE... hmm?

I Watched 6 Hours of DOGE Bro Testimony. Here's What They Had to Say For Themselves The hours of videos provide fascinating, or perhaps horrifying, insight into the thinking of someone inside DOGE.

What stands out to me is the arrogance. The surefootedness that this was the correct thing to do despite no experience in government. The presumption that they were entitled to use their own uninformed judgement to cut funds to things that they don’t personally value www.404media.co/i-watched-6-...

Yes, that's what the Nazis did. Jim Crow laws were too harsh for the Nazis, as added context—so the Nuremberg laws were intentionally softer than the framework that inspired them.

American problem. Take her to Italy. Why Americans think so little of men's fashion, is a downright shame.

I'm finally learning some foundational writing skills by Gemini re-writing my hellscape'ishly longwinded design writing. So, there's also that.

Let me be clear: I’m glad Kristi Noem was fired. But we still have to abolish ICE.
